As soon as the creation kit is released there's bound to be at least one mod that changes guard behavior. In oblivion there was a mod where the guards would find bodies and inspect the area

There's some mod where you get gas arrows, climbing rope arrows and all this other cool stuff, got no idea what it's called - but get that one

Tokkenvil (Me and a few friends inhabit, it's a long walk and its quite dangerous to live there)

Or

Freduqus's Villiage (it's safe from PvP, open to all blocklanders, near spawn)

Are your friends australian too?

Evolutionary psychology is a crock of stuff and I'd say your example for females could be applied to males too

There has been some stuff that has come out of it because of not being able to falsify claims, but I'm less ready to dismiss the whole thing as pseudoscience

At least according to the media or what other people say.

My theory of why society looks at it like that is this:
It's an evolutionary psychology thing. Think about it like the following (not using humans as the example species here, rather just a general one)

The male of the species has an inherent instinct to spread his genes as much as possible, which is why that's a "score" or good thing if he does
The female of the species should and needs to carefully select a mate, risking mixing with the wrong genes if she doesn't, so if she sleeps with lots of males, it's a bad thing; whore.
