Yes but if for instance you we're using my server(hardware) and you were using a lot of resources, I would need enough to afford a better server (hardware)

Well yeah but that would be quite hard to get up to that much and it would only be so I could save enough money to get a better server to meet the demands of the people/person I'm letting it out to.

I'm going to be renting out a server running ubuntu 12.04, to use this you mustbe able to pay online. There will be no contract however I will send you a bill of which you must pay within 7 days otherwise your login will be removed. To use this server it is required that you have some basic understanding of SSH and the linux terminal (However I usually just look-up the commands on the ubuntu website)
VPS means that its shared hardware as I will be using the server for remote ssh, apache, mysql, php and maybe a couple of games but probably not.
So far I have the ssh, apache, mysql and php installed and its using about 1-5% of resources.
There is a 500gb disk, I don't care how much is used as long as you don't take the piss and use the whole lot.
Pricing
Depending on what you want to use the server for really does depend on the pricing, it could be from 5 - 50 a month but 50 really would be if you were using most of the RAM, had loads of processes running and were using enough hard drives to put western digital out of stock.

the file looks like this I have saved it as dedicated.bat when I double click on it, the text editor gedit opens and when I right click and tell it to run with WINE it will open and close in about a second and gives me this...

I have installed unity (GUI) and WINE and Blockland via WINE however when I click on the dedicated server on the desktop the launcher comes up and goes into standard Blockland. How can I have the dedicated server start like my LAMP server where it starts when the server boots up before anybody logs on?

I agree, Blooker should be banned. The problem is that because you lot have better grammar than matv1999, you think you can take the piss. It's not right. You are all definitely being to hard on him. In-fact I would say most of you are thick. You tell him hes spaming but you do not explain to him what spaming actually is. You can't hate someone because they don't know something.

The dedicated server has 4 GB ram, 3 GHz dual core CPU and 100/90 internet that will run no other servers.
I don't know if I'm going to use it or....
My tower server with 4 GB ram, 3.1 ghz Quad Core and 30/6 internet that will be running more servers.
Not crap then, sort of thing you need for an application like blockland because the good thing is blockland isn't much of a resource eater. Can I ask what operating system your using and also this data center server did you find it online because at the minute i'm using a linux server for my databases/websites and a windows server at work for the same sort of stuff but its for that business so I could do with renting one. Residential internet speeds are really not good and a static IP limits ISP's even more. Its a crap world we live in.
