It's much more than walking. If you haven't done it yourself, you really wouldn't understand.
Edit: It's not the fact that it's walking- which it really isn't simply that. It's a combination of like 10 things, and the fact that it involves repetition for hours at a time.

Voloshyn nods to the loadmaster. All of a sudden, a red light turns on, illuminating the whole cargo bay. The cargo ramp doors slowly begin to open. "Everyone double check your chutes!"

A man with a Rosyian flight suit comes down the stairs, oxygen mask on. He nods at Sergeant Voloshyn. Voloshyn pulls his own mask over his face. He takes a couple of breaths to make sure it was flowing. "Let's lock and load!"

"Alright listen up!" Sergeant Voloshyn beckons everyone in a circle. He pulls out a map. "Drop is in 10 mikes. Our rendevous point is here." He points at a position on the map to where everyone can see. "We're the first unit to drop on our sector. We are expecting hostiles, as the enemy is at Defense condition two. Our objective is simple. This dam is a major power source for Washington. We regroup, infiltrate the dam, plant explosives on the turbines, then get the hell out of there and wait for command to give us orders. We'll devise a plan once we regroup. Everyone got it? Any questions?!"
