There wasn't much left in the bags besides a couple of cans of food and various toiletries. Alex began stuffing everything in her bag when she noticed the hard rifle case. She pulled it over in front of her and unmatched it. When the case opened, it revealed the Barrett of which she had no knowledge of. However, there might be some uses for the case. She picked up the rifle and threw it to the side, covering one side in the fine sand and particles of the desert of the Southwest. She latched the case back, got up and began walking unknowingly in the same direction as the man she'd seen.

Once the murderer was out of her sight, Alex did a weird fast walk over to the victim and checked his vitals. Yeah he was dead. She began picking through what the other man hadn't picked from the horse's various saddle bags.

As Alex trudged tiredly through the wastes she heard a shot ring out. Crouching, she looked into the distance to see a poor pony express rider fall after being shot. "stuff.." Alex said as she laid down to prevent being seen by the ruthless killer.
