Army group West is massed on the East German-Allied controlled West German border. 500,000 men from the army group are redeployed throughout Eastern Europe to oversee ongoing post-war rebuilding.

Soviet diplomats are flown to China to discuss possibilities of military and economic alliances

Telegrams are sent out to all allied countries that Soviet airspace is now restricted to anyone excluding the Russian armed forces. Any aircraft seen flying without authorization will be met with extreme hostility.
