(someone's going to notice that I didn't put enough "not started"s and be like "uh hey u missed mine u big fat meaniepants")

Just because something "goes away" doesn't mean it's wrong.
Just saying, that's a dumb point.

well actually it is wrong but you know

2478
Yeah that's kind of the whole point.

It is not clear.

I said, "better safe than sorry".

Also, I'm not the stupid one here.  If you really think I should get vaccines and my mom is against it, I'm not going to get them.

Actually, you kinda are.
Whether or not you doubt the efficacy of vaccines, the only reason you don't want to get them is because of symptoms that aren't even linked to vaccines. The only symptoms are either minor and/or typical of all medicine or have less than 1/100000 chance.
To put that in perspective, that's like not going outside if you're unsure it will rain because there is a 1/3000 chance of being struck by lightning.
Or how about not daring to go near roads because of the 1/8000 chance of dying in a car accident?
Even skipping work from the 1/43000 chance of dying in an accident?

The only common effects are not worth forgoing vaccination.

There are possibilities that problems can exist in the preservatives that can cause undesired side effects that are worse than the disease that it is preventing though.  Usually, if it's something really bad, we end up getting the vaccine.

Quote from: RationalWiki
Thiomersal (also commonly known by its U.S. marketing name "Thimerosal") is a mercury-containing compound used as a preservative in many vaccines. The fact that some mercury compounds are toxic has led many to conclude that vaccines containing this compound are dangerous. Many mercury compounds, particularly those with mercury-carbon bonds, are neurotoxins, such as dimethylmercury.

While in large doses thiomersal can be toxic, a 2002 study indicated that the mercury levels in infants receiving a vaccine preserved by an appropriate amount of thiomersal were low; some were so low that they could not be measured. The toxicity of mercury compounds found in fish oil pills is likely to exceed that of thiomersal. By definition, this means the blood concentrations of mercury were below the EPA guidelines. (The amount of mercury in stool samples was higher than normal, although this is an indicator that the body was eliminating the thiomersal, rather than accumulating it.)

Quote from: Wikipedia
A 2004 Institute of Medicine (IOM) committee favored rejecting any causal relationship between thiomersal-containing vaccines and autism. Autism incidence rates increased steadily even after thiomersal was removed from childhood vaccines. Currently there is no accepted scientific evidence that exposure to thiomersal is a factor in causing autism.

I just think that the vaccine research is still premature and there are no assumptions that can be made yet, so might as well not get the almost useless vaccines.

you know except it WORKS

Read some of this, Mr. Expert.
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/side-effects.htm

Read the parts on some choice ones where it says "Mild Problems" and/or "Severe Problems"
Some of these don't look very fun, do they?  These are not just stupid assumptions made by some wannabe paranoid mom over the Internet.  My doctor's office gives out gobs of papers explaining potential side effects.  If you go and tell me you are smarter than doctors, go to medical school and revolutionize the world.  K?

Quote from: the link you just loving posted
It is not clear whether these mild or serious problems were caused by the vaccine or occurred after vaccination by chance.

Like any medicine, a vaccine could cause a serious problem, such as a severe allergic reaction.

oh should we just boycott regular medicine because that has side effects too?

and in fact, all of the "Severe Problems" listed are only 1/100000, sometimes even 1/1000000, excepting the ones in the introduction since those are not known to be caused from the vaccine.

Quote from: the link you just loving posted
Problems that could happen after any vaccine:
  • Brief fainting spells can happen after any medical procedure, including vaccination. Sitting or lying down for about 15 minutes can help prevent fainting, and injuries caused by a fall. Tell your doctor if you feel dizzy, or have vision changes or ringing in the ears.
  • Severe shoulder pain and reduced range of motion in the arm where a shot was given can happen, very rarely, after a vaccination.
  • Severe allergic reactions from a vaccine are very rare, estimated at less than 1 in a million doses. If one were to occur, it would usually be within a few minutes to a few hours after the vaccination.

Note how the majority are not 1 in a million.  Several of the major side effects even go down to 1/100.

No, actually, that's only on the "Mild" or "Moderate" symptoms. The only ones that are reported by 1/100 are in the intro, and nowhere else, and even then are not guaranteed to be caused by the vaccine itself.

you know I probably shouldn't post just text without some pretty bad art to distract you or something

but I haven't drawn for this thread in quite a bit...
and I really want to post this, so...

first off, I've been interested in making an RPG for a while now.
I think I started making it, but I probably have no idea what I'm getting into.
I don't have any idea of what the whole map's gonna be like, how big the map will be, what the enemies will be, what the story even is, and...
Essentially, I'm being a huge idiot with this whole thing. But hey, when have I ever put forethought into things??

But I think the RPG will probably be like MOTHER. Except less grindy, probably. Which is probably half because I like the series and half because I would probably make it that way anyways. You'd play as the first three main characters (), and maybe I'll have one or two temporary members? Not quite sure on that yet.

The other thing, you know how I have that character that's essentially me? Well, I mean besides all of them because they don't really have personalities yet. no because I removed the character list BUT
Originally I didn't want a character that was exactly my personality, but I don't really know why? Did I think I would run my creation into the ground by introducing me somehow?
No idea, but even though my character probably has all the powers in the universe since he's like a living god or something (I mean, he DID create the whole world in the comic since he's, you know, me), everything's fine.

wow that was some rambling

2481
BUT it's possible.  Better safe than sorry.

BUT there's no evidence so there's not really a reason to follow "better safe than sorry"??

AND EVEN THEN, your point is self-refuting because even if it has some chance of causing autism (which it doesn't), it still protects you from those illnesses that would otherwise be pretty harmful.

Just saying.

also you can go watch that Penn & Teller episode on anti-vaccination if you want...

i think the bottom one would be better if the mask thingy went up only instead of down, like in super ghouls and ghosts.

i think it might be fine...
the only reason it looks off to me as it is is because the whole character doesn't bounce up and down like people do when they run

i really like building with ROBLOX studio, and

...that's all I can say about it, really
I mean some places are cool, but for the most part I don't really like anything besides the building
I guess I also like that the characters are more customizable, but even then you can't get exactly what you like on your character without paying money.

also i have turbo BC but I haven't been on in quite a while

You never drew in human proportions, so you that's pretty much null. If you're going for "chibi" at least learn the ropes.

...but it is chibi?
