Off Topic / Re: game industry crash is coming.
« on: December 23, 2018, 02:00:29 PM »
Let's just say that the economical system isn't doing too well at the moment and a cycle of boom bust will occur soon, meaning another recession will happen. As for the game industry the same idea of "too big to fail" applies here (as in the situation which happened to the Lehman brothers will occur here too), it might happen and the stock graphs provided just show that something might occur

If I was in this situation, I'd probably have to settle things manly with the guy. People are probably going to call me out for being an internet tough guy for this but honestly, that's just how we deal with things from where I am. Not the best idea tbh as there are things related to the law, but if someone's touching up your girlfriend then it's pretty obvious that the person needs to be taught a lesson not to do it. You could file a restraint order which is a better alternative but I think I'd solve it the way I would. He's going to kill himself? lol, natural selection- nah, but he's obviously cognitively unstable and needs to seek help as soon as possible. You really need to block that guy off from everything to solve the problem or just contact the authorities if that's what you want to do

Deus, I see where you are coming from. Sometimes in life you just need to leave forgeted up situations because they're wasting precious time. I understand your point of view but I don't know if that would be the best thing to do because you don't know how good OP's relationship really is, the two might be extremely committed to each other. But yeah, your girl should never be going to another boy's house alone with that boy, that's a no no

Off Topic / Do not vote labour, Corbyn will ruin this country
« on: December 12, 2018, 08:18:23 AM »
The vote for no confidence in parliament is today, we already know how this is going to end because Theresa May is a loving useless prime minister who has done nothing to change the UK or enable any good policies for the country overall. As a home secretary, prior to becoming prime minister, she made really stupid decisions for the UK including cutting back funding on the police force. It is pretty obvious that because of her dumb moves, the vote will turn out to be no confidence.

However a bigger problem arises at the moment, the growth of left winged politics onto the people and the current idolization of how great our new prime minister will be. Corbyn will try to turn this country into a socialist one and we know how that's working for Venezuela. Corbyn will destroy this country's economy and will make even worse decisions than the previous conservative party.

If there is no confidence, do not vote for Corbyn and his labour party

Games / Re: medieval fantasy games suck
« on: December 08, 2018, 04:24:36 AM »
if you wanna play a really good RPG, that is more than a game, you best play Deus ex 1. The original deus ex is the best story driven game I've ever seen the writing is so well thought and it actually predicted 9/11 as well as other things such as the Facebook data scandal. You might not like it on your first play through because of the various gameplay mechanics as well as the engine being a bit outdated but it's just an amazing game overall. Play it, forget all this medieval stuff, deus ex is something else

im not being fake deep or anything. when i was in high school i lived on my family's dollar obviously and i had plenty of time to beat myself up and question my success and future. now that im on my own and i have no safety net or parents i can fall back on in case i dont meet my monthly rent i really dont have the time or energy to feel depressed or self loathing. every day is basically a blessing. its the middle of winter and i could easily be living on the streets and most likely be dead but im not and to me that's far from failure. i have some awesome friends i could ask for help if things got really desperate but i wouldnt want to burden them anyways

its just a perspective i guess. everyone is surrounded by success basically every minute. you're still alive, right? thats success too. if you basically look at your life and say 'well im not a millionaire therefore im a failure' you'll basically be putting yourself down for no reason. you wont even be giving yourself the motivation to become a millionaire because you've already defeated yourself prematurely

its better to prioritize your goals and focus on easy-to-achieve success and give yourself reasonable goals than to slap yourself with some monolithic end game victory that you can't possibly understand yet. you give your brain more opportunities to feed itself dopamine when you profit off of small victories than ponder about how far away you are from reaching the finish line. and who gives a stuff what other people think. most of those starfishs are probably fighting various forms of depression themselves and just want to put you down in order to give themselves a little meaning
I would frame this wall of text on my wall. The supreme art of victory and how to achieve it can be fully explained by the strategies of Sun Tzu, such historic strategies and philosophy which are still applicable in today's society

know yourself and know your enemies, a thousand battles, a thousand victories

old punk rock (from 70s-90s) is all good I guess, anything from the 2000s is literal hepatitis G. 2000s music is stuff in general. Vaporwave is really good, they're good but new punk rock isn't good. But this is my opinion
