This is a build that I've been working on for about a month now. It consists of about 10,000 bricks. It's been finished for a week or so, but I've been waiting for the JVS Doors release to post this. Now that they're out, I present to you, the
Ye Ode Noble's Estate.
A bird's eye view of the hill. Originally, I built the fort itself, but then I realized that it wasn't complete without a cellar. This lead to the creation of the hill. (I was a bit iffy about its design at first, but I realized I couldn't do much after I had added the cellar.) I thought it would look strange having such a small hill balancing such a tall tower, so I added a bigger one. One thing lead to another, and eventually I decided to add more than just the cellar and the castle.
The next picture is of the main hall, seen as you walk in the front door. In the right door, there's a ladder leading down to the cellar. On the left, there's a room containing a table with various items on it. The two entrances on the far end of the hall lead up to the stairs which take us to the second floor of the fort.
Here we have the top of the stairs and a view of the dining hall.
A view of the dining hall. It's fairly simple; a long table holding food, some wine, and some cups. On the right, there's a shelf, and some kegs. On the far end, we have another stairway leading to the next floor, accompanied by a cabinet.
Here, we have another hall. The door on the left opens to an armory (as seen in the second image below). On the far right, there's another table, and another bookshelf.
This image is of the fourth floor; the study. It's not much, but it was a very fun room to make, on account of how colorful it is. The space in front of the stairs leads to a common loo (shown in the second picture below)
For the last floor, we have the Noble's Quarters.
For the last of the fort portion, we have the cellar.
GASP! What's this? It looks like a break in the wall leading to a tunnel...
The further into the tunnel we go, the more we see things like secret stashes, containing gold and silver coins and sections of unfinished brick wall.
Soon, we find the main chamber. This appears to be a cave under the well. The bucket has worn off of the rope, and is now floating in a shallow pool of water. In this room, we find a primitive bed. (I like to call this room the 'thief's chamber', because of the fact that it appears that someone is sneaking into the castle and taking chests of gold from under the Nobleman's nose.)
Here we have a simple, unfinished section of wall, holding a candle.
Boring, right? WRONG! As you pull on the candle, the section of wall shifts out of the way to reveal a secret passage!
At the end of the passage, you find a great stash of gold coins and chests!
Back to the surface!
Last, but not least, we have the servant's hut, adjacent to the fort.
Feel free to rate #/10. If you have any tips or advice on how to improve the build, I'd love to hear it! I'm always looking to perfect my work.
Thanks for viewing!
