My all-time favorite would have to be Princess Mononoke.
and, in no particular order:

Serenity
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz (best of the Cornetto Triology imo)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Summer Wars

I really can't think of any that I hate.
that is, other than the last airbender
*shivers*

The album or the track of the same name? 'Cause Lights was a great album and Lights was a great track but I loving love Dawn.
I suppose both. :p
I'd have to say Lights is my favorite track off the album though. I've only just discovered him and haven't really branched out into his other releases yet, but I bought the full album the moment I first heard it. The lead-in at the end of Firmament, the lyrics, the delivery of the vocals... I just love it, even if it is a tad repetitive.

I love Dawn too, but it didn't have the same impact on me as Lights. Personal preference I guess. ;)

General Discussion / Re: Aperture RP
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:33:44 PM »
Sounds neat!

Here are some tips:

Try to make the story as unique as possible. A lot of us have already played the games and aren't particularly amused by reused dialogue/plot elements as we are unique ones. Perhaps some Blockheads broke into Aperture to steal their technology or something. Just an idea.

Your logo is a little bit out of proportion. It looks like you were trying to copy some pixel art or something - I could be wrong. As plates are rectangular, that'll happen. You might be able to fix the problem by using stacks of 2 1x1s as your base "pixel."

If you are planning on including some test chambers, you can make a pretty slick setup really fast with just some default wall bricks and one or two printplate add-ons. The Portal Gun mod isn't perfect, so make sure to think big when designing the map (you don't want anyone accidentally touching a random portal).

In regards to the second image, try limiting the amount of bricks you include in the walls; they're unnecessary. You could probably make a kickin' one with some 1x4x2s. Oh, and you wrote "innovators" wrong. No biggie! Simple mistake. Happens all the time. :p

Maybe try messing with the light a little? I think your whites could be a bit brighter - you know, really make 'em pop.

Ooh, and maybe add some officey kinda' stuff. Perhaps some vents to explore.

Additionally, instead of attaching one image to one post as you've been doing, you can upload your images to an an image hosting website such as imgur and include multiple images in a single post. To do this (with imgur), go to imgur, select "upload images" at the top of the screen, follow the instructions, and when the images are done, copy the text in the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" box and paste it into your post. You can have as many as you want!

Keep up the good work, Servo.
We're looking forward to see what you can create. <3

Off Topic / Re: stuffty School Detention Stories
« on: September 25, 2014, 03:42:51 PM »
Only had one detention and it was way back in middle school. It was like the first day of a new quarter or something and I was out sick, so I had a zero average in social studies. The next day I was pulled aside heading out to recess and was put in a room with a bunch of deadbeats and yelled at for the next 20 minutes about how we were all failures. When I passed in the paper and my grade skyrocketed to a 95 my teacher told me I still had to stay for a 3 hour academic detention. Yay.

I have never had any form of detention B^)
oh wait yeah i did
in elementary school in like 1st grade or something i talked and i got sent to silent lunch
i was like 6 or something idk but i was pretty pissy about it
Something like that happened to me that same year. The people next to me were talking and I told them to be quiet, teacher yelled at me and forced me to sit alone crying for the rest of lunch. :cookieMonster:

My friend really wants this game and his birthday is coming up, but is it weird to buy such an expensive gift for a friend?
It's not weird at all; it's very kind and to be respected.

dont forget splatoon
I haven't. I was mentioning Hyrule Warriors because of the fact that it's already out in most of the world whereas Splatoon won't be out until next year.

This school year is actually going to be rad as hell.

Music Theory II with the coolest class ever (there are only 3 of us and the other two are in Music Theory I lol) and Digital Media, which is 4 hours every other day of driving around town making movies during school hours for school credit.

And I get to try out my new audio interface with my full set tomorrow. ^_^
The pieces of my first release are coming together.

I'm also writing a webcomic. Should be fun. Wish me luck.

Also looking forward to:

Hyrule Warriors
Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
Mushi-Shi: Zoku Shou II

tl;dr I love everything

edit: apparently She is now producing a full length chip album
oh my god
this is the best
