"I think it was a ... drone? If I recall correctly I was firing my flak into the group of them then one of the drones shot through my canopy and hit me in the chest."

Walter shifts his body a little to make himself comfortable in his bed for what little good it does

Walter, after some time has passed and things have settled down with the medical staff decides to prop himself slightly up (given he hasn't been instructed not too) and look around at where he's situated.

Walter slumps to the side of his roosterpit and steadies his breathing a bit more, he starts to sweat profusely around his collar and neck as he recovers from the shock of being hit. He feels tired and strained as he flies his question not being answered he pipes up again, this time more affirmative.

"AWACS, repeat, I need coordinates for an airfield I can land at."

He checks his own chest to asses the damage done, as he continues on away from the battle.

Walter by this point has picked up a little on his breathing, he takes in a fresh and a bit longer of a breath. It stings slightly and his chest aches as his lungs shift his body under the flight suit.

He attempts to speak, broken and faint but understandable.

"I have to disengage, I was hit. AWACS please uplink me some directions for a nearby airfield."

Walter lets out a dry and voiceless rasp of his voice as he leans forward trying to regain his breath, he begins to wheeze loudly on the intercom.

" Get.....  Them......... Off me.."

He tries to continue by sizing up Condottiero-4 with a shot from his EML, before turning around regardless if the lance hit and heading to the nearest airfield while apply his hand hard to his wound.

Walter drops 3 flare packets and swings out of the maneuver to fire yet another volley of flak into the drones approaching Mjolnir.
