Graf notices the Gothic in his communications but doesn't say anything about it.

Although he does not see specifically the VLS on the Excelsior is destroyed, he figures it is due to basically the entire back end being ruined. He hears the 2nd shot of energy roar out of it's massive cannon and figures, even if it misses, the destroyer is done for, and aims at the bridge.

"This last drone is pelting me with it's micro-laser, can anyone take it out?"

"This drone's evaded all I have against it."

He drops a flare and evades the missile.

As he evades, he notices the blast of energy punching a hole through the destroyer.

"Holy stuff."

Dammit! Alright, damage looks minimal, I'm fine.
Graf pulls up to just-above rooftop level, locks on (aims) at Culex-14 and fires his last HSM.

Graf hears the notice that drones are setting up an attack run. Although he is not in range yet, he still aims his rocket pods on the Excelsior's VLS sites, but does not fire, nor breaks formation.

Graf decides to head for the gym before the mission - he hadn't worked out in ages due to the hullabaloo of transferring to Mjolnir and then moving onto the airship. As he walks in and absorbs the signature sights and smells of a gym, he notices Yui and another girl who he didn't know - based on her clothing, probably an engineer.

He overhears the conversation and decides to not interfere, beginning his warm-ups by stretching on the mat.

Gus looks at the two with a grin, walking over when he hears his name. He extends his own hand to the pilot.

"That'd be me. Gustav, or Tempest. Nice to meet you formally... 'Gaffe'."

He smiles again and shakes his head at Jaakko.

Graf quickly salutes and then shakes his hand. "At least any enemies might look over me because of my nickname. At least, before I blast them with a missile. It's good to meet you, all of you."

In his head, he preps his personal plan on how to avoid PD - which is to say, fire rocket pods and evade like hell. He's gonna need it.

Jaakko shakes Graf's hand.

"Kirves, or 'Crash.' Expected better? I got my name for landing with my gear up and flying through a flock of geese," he replies, "Nobody really gets a name they pick."

He glances a Gus, grinning, then back to Graf.

"It's just nerves, it'll go away after a while,"

"Alright, sir. I'll keep that in mind."

He looks to the man Jaakko was grinning at. The name comes to his mind almost immediately. "Sir, that's Captain Thomson, correct?"

Jaakko turns to Graf.

"Are you ready for this, Gaffe?" he asks, grinning slightly.

Graf grins a little. "Is that my new nickname? I expected better. Trust me, I won't be making mistakes this time. At least, as little as I can while being PD bait."

He holds out his hand. "You are... Major Kirves, right?"
