After finishing his breakfast, Graf decides to actually know the squadron better and sits down at Ellie's table, greeting her.
"Hello there. Before we got on this monster ship, I never really got the chance to meet you. The name's Hilbert Graf."

Graf wakes with the others and grabs his breakfast. He sits down at a random table and after some unsure looks, takes a bite. Surprisingly, it tastes decent.

Graf returns to his bunk, cold and exhausted. He had to agree with the marshals there - that drill was a disaster. Somehow, he powers through his fatigue and manages to look for something that he won't freeze to death in while he's sleeping. In the closet, he picks his snow clothing, puts it on and lays down on the bed.
Darkness overtakes him, and he enters into well-needed slumber.

Graf immediately gets up from his table and heads for the hangar to look for someone in charge. He can't fly air-to air in a Tornado, it would be Self Delete! After a short while of trying to navigate the area, he reaches the hangar and runs to the officer at the hangar in charge and asks for an air-to-air jet he can use, quickly. He spots his eye on the Fulcrums, but is unsure if he is allowed to fight in it.
He thinks back to the air-to-air duel and resolves to not be an idiot this time around. He remembers some ACM maneuvers he was taught in training, and BFM diagrams he looked at after his simulated battle with Yui.

As he feels the massive carrier leveling off, he gets off his seat and heads for the hangar with his personal objects. There's something waiting for him, after all.
The sight seemed kind of off-putting, considering the high-tech planes all around it, but there it was: his Tornado. A smile raises his spirits, and he gazes at the Tornado furthermore. He thinks back to his training at the Academy - when he first flew the T-38. It was unlike anything he had experienced before...
"Dragon 1-5, permission granted for takeoff, runway 27. Maintain runway heading..."
This was his first time flying a jet for real - no simulator this time. Although at this point, he wasn't as outgoing, his excitement still could be discerned in his voice, energy pumping into his body at the sight. He was flying! Not a prop, but an actual jet!
"Hey, 1-5. Graf, wasn't it? You enjoying yourself up here? says a fellow member of his training squadron.
After some time of silence from him, he replied back, in a calmer manner "...Yeah, you could say that." The resulting laughter from his wingmen was something of a turning point. Here were people who cared for him, regardless of his race, who they trained and flew with together. And that, even now, brought happiness to him.
After feasting his eye further on his Tornado, he looks on in awe at the variety of high-tech fighters. In a way, it reminded him of his place - still a newbie. Hmm. I still have a long way to go.
He eventually heads for the quarters where he'll be living now, and claims a bunk near the door. He sets down his stuff and sits on the bunk. He pulls out the manual for his Tornado again and continues reading.

As the Tordenskjold reaches to the heavens, Hilbert thinks about this new carrier he will live and deploy from for Gods know how long. What excites him more, however, is the thought of a new plane he requisitioned - the Tornado. To keep him preoccupied for the duration of ascent, he grabbed the manual before take-off, and now continues reading it.

As Hilbert finishes his tenth frame, he looks at his score of 70 and pays for his game, looking for a restaurant nearby to eat. As he walks, he imagines himself on the flying carrier they will all transfer to, he imagines what it's like. It sounds cool to him. As he thinks, he walks into a pole.

Hilbert quickly replies "First time I've played it, sorry sorry sorry..."
He quickly grabs a lighter ball and rolls it down the lane, this time being careful not to go into another lane. It hits a few pins this time.

After seeing what the place was like and buying game time, he actually realizes he has no idea how to play this. Hilbert looks at what other people are doing and tries to imitate them. He throws his ball and it ends up in another lane of an angry bowler. Whoops.
