This game was developed during Hacking Health Vancouver 2013 hackathon. The player navigates through a playground as an autistic child with auditory hypersensitivity. Proximity to loud children causes sensory overload for the player, impacting cognitive functions. This impact is represented as visual noise and blur, as well as audio distortion. Participants described the experience as visceral, insightful and compelling.
tl;dr it's like Slender but it's actually scary and you get to play as a Blockland forums member.

Games / MGS5: Phantom Pain officially announced!
« on: March 27, 2013, 05:50:51 PM »
Remember this thread from last year?
Quote
The Phantom Pain is a new game coming from Moby Game Studios (MGS)

It features a man waking up from a coma, only to wake up and find soldiers everywhere, wanting to kill the hospital's inhabitants. We see a shot of a unicorn on fire, and then a whale consuming a helicopter.
Here's where it gets weird.
According to a reddit thread: At the beginning of the video the main character returns from a coma. If you remember MGS4 it's mentioned that big boss fell into a coma at some point. From the metal gear wikia "in 1972, while big boss fell into a coma from being gravely wounded in battle, Zero brought his unconsious body to a lab where his genes were extracted to make genetically enhanced soldiers. Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, and Solidus Snake were produced in this program". The game most likely takes place after he wakes up from the coma.
So people are wondering about all the weird stuff happening, and like WTF was with the floating thing?
Two words.
Psycho Mantis.
In the older games, she/he (idk which because "it" has boobs) made snake have hallucinations and other wacky stuff. That's why "it" is making this stuff happen. There is also a theory about the bandaged man being Grey Fox (might have gotten it wrong)
Did you see weird lines above the words "The Phantom Pain" at the end?

I thought the fad flopped and died a week ago.
It looks like all the big companies are trying to put it on life support so they can make forgettons of money off it once it's "popular" again.

Also, the newer seasons of The Simpsons are still a trainwreck.

Off Topic / North Korea is trying to piss off the US again

In what appears to be a provocative PR stunt, a bizarre video uploaded to YouTube by North Korea over the weekend shows a dream sequence that includes a U.S. city resembling New York under an apparent missile attack.
The video, produced by North Korea's official website, Uriminzokkiri, begins with a young man imagining himself aboard a North Korean space shuttle that circles the earth, pausing to zoom in on a unified Korea.
The soundtrack to the three-and-a-half-minute video is an instrumental version of "We Are the World," the 1985 single written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and recorded by a celebrity supergroup, with proceeds going to African aid.
Near the end of the dream sequence, the imagined U.S. city—including what appears to be the Empire State Building—is shown in flames.
"Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing," reads a caption, translated by The Guardian. "It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze."
When reached by Yahoo News, U.S. National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor declined to comment.
The video arrives just days after North Korea threatened to retaliate against the U.S. for what it called a double standard stemming from a recent rocket launch by South Korea, which the U.S. said had no military intent.
In December, the U.S. claimed a North Korean rocket launch was a test of banned ballistic missile technology, and the United Nations Security Council announced sanctions.
On Saturday, a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman did not elaborate on the threatened retaliation. But according to the Associated Press, Pyongyang recently threatened to conduct its third nuclear test in response to what it calls U.S. hostility.
On Tuesday, South Korea U.N. Ambassador Kim Sook said a North Korean nuclear test was "imminent."

Off Topic / RIP Ceefax

BBC Ceefax, the world's first teletext service, is set for a final bow as the UK's digital switchover is completed.

Olympic champion Dame Mary Peters will turn off the last brown townogue TV signal in Northern Ireland at 23.30 BST. A series of graphics on Ceefax's front page will mark its 38 years on the BBC.

The Plain English Campaign announced a lifetime achievement award for Ceefax's "clarity" and use of "everyday words".

And ex-Prime Minister Sir John Major said Ceefax would be "much missed".

Sir John, who has previously revealed that he regularly checked Ceefax pages between Downing Street meetings to keep up to date with cricket scores, said: "Ceefax will be much missed. At moments of high pressure - with little time for detailed examination of the news - Ceefax headlines offered an instant window on the world.
"From breaking global news to domestic sports news, Ceefax was speedy, accurate and indispensable. It can be proud of its record."

Anyone who grew up watching TV in the UK will probably nostalgia over this, it was basically the grandaddy of the internet, and you could access it via your TV.

It stayed around for a incredibly long amount of time, but when the digital switchover started it was slowly being phased out in favor of the BBC's new news thing that only seems to work when it wants to.
I still remember my seeing my parents looking through the TV guide and news pages on it.

RIP

A hat I modeled for ROBLOX a while ago managed to get on it's official catalog.

Feeling baller as forget right now.
What's also great is that the ROBLOX staff like my work and they're willing to use the hat models I might make in the future.
