Modification Help / Mega Environments! [The closest thing we can get to terrain!]

So, yesterday I was experimenting with ground texture sizes and resolutions, and I invented a type of ground texture that will probably revolutionize environments on the game,
Basically, it's the closest we'll ever get to getting terrain back in the game, although it doesn't recreate the bumpy 3D terrain Blockland used to have, it does restore it's look.

I made two new environments with the technique and I'm planning to release them in the next couple of days.
The first one I made is set in the countryside, which I reckon would look amazing on suburban/country builds.

I made another set in a desert, I love how it turned out.

Compare the default desert ground texture with the mega one I made and you'll see a massive difference between them.

While the default texture literally screams that it's a small , endlessly repeating texture, the mega environment is much more subtle.

Unfortunately, since the texture resolutions for mega environments are higher, the texture file sizes become "mega" as well, but through some decent compression and the file put into a .zip, it shouldn't be a issue.

So, we all know about the filter that blocks ROBLOX links because of the ambassador program.

You cannot post links to Roblox here

Roblox has a program that rewards users with in game currency for spamming their url on other websites.
This has left us no choice but to block all links to Roblox.

Well...

Two years ago, ROBLOX started the Ambassador Program, which was designed to encourage players to spread the word about ROBLOX.  In the program, users would take HTML code (specific to that player), and then post those links on other active websites.  Users were rewarded with 2 tix per day per active link.  We believed we could get users involved with promoting our game.

After two years of experimenting, we have realized that the program is not as valuable as players who come to us through word of mouth or through social media. The Ambassador Program became spammy, which we realized was not a benefit to our players or other websites. We have looked at the numbers, and we simply don’t have enough users to justify continuing the program. Part of being a healthy company and an elegant service is removing things rather than adding them.

ROBLOX’s core values focus on the creativity of players and the building of games. So we have decided to shut the program down.

ROBLOX itself has not changed a bit.  Users continue to create more games (5.4 million in 2011), and we have a pile of exciting developments in the pipeline (many of which we will demo at the ROBLOX Game Conference in July).

The ambassador program was removed quite a while ago, and as well as that since links to ROBLOX were banned only people with keys are able to post on the forum, so it's no longer a threat.
Note: Don't cry "LOL HURR ROBLOX SUKZ KEEP DEIR LINK BAND!!!!! HURR HURR HURR", the only reason the links got banned was because they had a program where you got ingame money for posting ROBLOX links on other sites, but it's gone now.

This morning he decided to register for a Rasperry Pi for me to tinker with we've both been interested in it for the last few weeks.
He said he'll wants to buy a case/memory card for it as well which is great of him.
If you don't know what a Rasperry Pi is, it's a tiny computer pictured below.

True, they are very cheap and don't have great specs, but that's all made up for by it's size, there are tons of uses for this thing, and what I'm hoping to do is be able to plug it into the family TV and allow people to use the TV as a computer when needed, it would be also be pretty neat to have software to emulate old games on there as well.

He's started spamming videos of MLP in threads or in replies that aren't even related to the show and it just makes no sense at all, and it's getting pretty goddamn annoying since it seems like he's only doing it to wave his "brony" status in our faces.

StarForge is the ultimate sandbox game about surviving on an alien planet on a fully procedural infinite voxel terrain. You can create anything anywhere at anytime given you have the resources. Dig holes as deep as you want, built a mountain into outer space, or walk in any direction forever while saving every change. The game has an awesome physics engine that is as close to real life as most video games have gotten thus far.

There will be multiplayer so you can play with your friends. Various game modes such as capture the flag and fort wars are planned for release.

Off Topic / I'm pretty sad right now

As I've mentioned in another topic, my granddad died a few days ago before my birthday, it was a shock to my family and I was pretty sad when I heard the news.
Since nobody lives in the house now, it will end up being sold in a few months so me and my family went to look around the house to get stuff that are important to us, and my sister came across a birthday card with £100 my grandfather was going to send to me before he suddenly died.

It's a shame I never got the opportunity to tell him thanks :c

EDIT: I forgot to mention the card reads "Happy birthday, have a nice day, your grandad" :c
