The last time I was dragged to a church, the pastor said that the only thing Jesus changed was that you no longer have to sacrifice animals to be forgiven for your sins, you just get it automatically through Jesus

I don't whole agree with the pastor there. Yes, we are no longer required to kill animals as a sacrifice, but a lot more than just that changed.

I eat shellfish all the freaking time as well as all types of pork.
HECK, I am eating bacon wrapped beef cutlets right now and had shrimp last night.

There is nothing wrong with this. I enjoy a good piece of bacon myself. I don't like shrimp though, just as a personal preference.

those were specifically given to the jewish nation as a lawset for them to follow so that they would maintain a cultural and religious distinction from their neighbors, they were invalidated later on

Separation of church and state

Although most of that article does not talk about America, I did find a small part about the Bill of Rights. The phrase actually comes from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson, and is not in the Bill of Rights.

Separation of church and state means is that the First Amendment does not permitted Congress to establish one religion over then Entire County. Not 'teachers and students shouldn't be aloud to pray in school' or any of that type of argument.

Least from what I've read and seen.

There's several ways to prevent it.

1. Multiple spawn points
2. Indestructible spawn defences, like in Hawken or League of Legends
3. Invulnerability time upon spawning
4. An end goal, instead of a continuous game where the only goal is to rack up points

I like all these ideas. They should all be used upon creating a (T)DM style server.


Could you elaborate a little bit about number two? I've never played either of those games.

It is spawnkilling, but it should in no way be a punishable offense nor looked down upon.

All your anger should be taken out on the server host. It's a design flaw.

And there is an easy fix too.

A real easy way to fix this is if there are two or more spawn points/bases.

Or two or more ways to get out of the one base/spawn point. But the ^top^ idea is better

Although I would add that if they can kill you, you should be able to kill them.

I played on a server where I trapped a group of people in a building, and even though it was the same building they spawned in, they where able to shoot at me with ease. Didn't feel bad at all.

I agree completely.
A very well written piece addressing a very common issue in Blockland. If all rules for the admins were this, most of our dramas would not exists.

The only problem is that, well, server admins have all the power, and only the host has the power to fix this (usually through deadmin).

I personally am going to add this to my rules for admins for when ever I make a server =)
