General Discussion / Re: will badspot ever fix the avatar uploader?
« on: July 07, 2014, 07:53:27 PM »
If it doesn't seem to change after you upload it, try hitting Ctrl+F5 and see if you can see it. If you're getting an error message, be aware the avatar must be under 75x75 and under 5KB in size. That's the way it was for me. Anything over 5KB in size gave me an error message.

General Discussion / CBMHosting server contest!
« on: July 07, 2014, 03:39:41 PM »

CBMHosting server contest!

Voting is now open! Vote to have your favorite idea hosted!

Information:

I am happy to announce that we are going to be doing our first ever server contest! We have two server slots now open and have decided that the people with the two most popular server ideas according to the community's votes will be given the server slots. Servers will be chosen by the community's votes alone, I will step in only if I see something that needs to be dealt with by me.

Rules:

• Contestants have one week from today (7/7/2014) to post their server ideas. After the week is up, I will add all the servers into a poll which the community will vote on to determine the two most popular ideas.
• The community will then have one week to vote on the servers they want to see hosted.
• Potential servers must be in development or an idea that will be acted upon to qualify, no "maybe I'll do this" or "I'd like to do this, but I'm not sure". In short, be serious with your suggestions.
One suggestion per server please, do not make multiple posts for one server. You can do that once voting is opened. If a server is already mentioned in the topic, please refrain from posting anything more about it until voting.
• If you have a topic already for your server, please post the link.
• For those who do not, provide a description and a few photos of the server you want to host if possible.
• People who already have a CBMHost server are not eligible for this contest.

Once the voting period is up, the two servers that have the highest amount of votes will be declared the winners and the owners will be sent PMs on how to get their servers with CBMHosting. Good luck to all and may the best servers win!

Drama / Re: Kong123 [38277] - Permabanned me for saying 'Hey Kong!'?

Once again, I said it that i dont control those keys anymore, Flim is Phireanex, Flam is someone I dont even know.

Okay, then you won't mind telling me why Flim (47859) joined the server at the time it was spammed with your current IP (58.7.251.91)?  Flam (33640) was somebody else from near Lenoir, North Carolina at the time, I just confirmed this by taking a in-depth look at the logs.  His other ID is 40817, he's gone under the name of "joshtbo".  However, Flim was most certainly you.

$LoggedIP26043 = "58.7.251.91";
$LoggedIP47859 = "58.7.251.91";
$LoggedIP85570 = "58.7.251.91";

He changes IPs like people change socks, so his 33640 ID was under a different IP, but it still connects with his original 26043.

$LoggedIP26043 = "58.6.198.38";
$LoggedIP33640 = "58.6.198.38";

No edit: Flam (47859) and 85570 are also his. He was spamming the server with two alts while he played as himself. Wow.

Flam (33640) is Outpact's alt.

Do you guys know who DDoS'd the server? Or is it shrouded in mystery? Either way, the DDoS-er is probably a 2 year old who accidentally got his hands on it.

The DoS was aimed at Gordo12699's server, but the resulting packet flood caused problems for the other servers. Surprisingly, it didn't completely disrupt them, just caused them to have small quick lag spikes until I null-routed the incoming traffic to Gordo's.

Off Topic / Re: Did I get raped by this mechanic?
« on: June 25, 2014, 10:14:34 AM »
You took it to Midas?? Yeah, you got screwed, bad. I'm not sure what kind of car you have, but the brakes themselves shouldn't have been more then $250-300 tops, including parts. When I had the front brakes on my Lexus done a few weeks ago, it was $385 including pads, rotors and calipers (calipers were seizing) along with the labor. The calipers were more expensive than the labor. If they had not needed replaced, it would have been just $189 for the brake job. I'd be interested in looking up the parts for your car at an auto parts store and finding out just how much they marked them up.

I laughed at "shop supplies charge." What the forget is that? If the shop doesn't have the supplies to fix your car that's their own fault, they shouldn't charge you for their incompetency.

The shop supplies charge is to cover the cost of miscellaneous fluids and parts they use that aren't included in the normal charges along with the environmental fee, which pretty much every mechanic I've been to has.

General Discussion / Re: Dedicated hosting?

He knows a lot more stuff than you do, even for a 14 year old. And you don't really have the properties to go outside so you made a BL basketball tournament, and you also faked your own death, and such. Even making your own trolling group that around 50% of it is filled with ambiguous trolling idiots.
You have no room to talk.

There is so much misinformation in this post, it's not funny. First off, the fake death thing was perpetrated by Betelgeuse, not Raven. Raven had no idea it was even happening until later. The trolling group was also Betel's idea, however Raven made the stupid decision to involve himself in it. But, the point is that Raven didn't create it. And not having the "properties to go outside" is the reason he made his tournament server? Really Maxxi, really?....

45761 is apparently an alt of Crome, ID 29897, unless he sold it to someone else.

Paypal takes $0.30 out of every transaction I recieve, so the minimum for any transaction is $0.40.

Correction on this, PayPal takes 2.9% of the amount plus $.30.

It's happening to me as well, I'm getting a "authentication failed: error 358" error in the Steam version. Could be interesting to see the reason why it's happening.

Edit: Nvm, it's back.

Speaking of that, if no one is joining my server, does that count as inactive?

No, inactive means a server that's not been started or had anything done to it for more then 3 weeks. There are exceptions to this, but that is the general rule.
