Because I have never opened up to full capacity, because of last month's unreliable network. None of my clients ever quit because of the low uptime in April. You can believe whatever you want to, but I was able to fill up the first 10 slots in under 4 days.

The point is, due to my experiences with my last two hosting services before this, players will flock to free hosting, even if it has a 5 Mbps upload connection and 80% uptime.

Um, I filled the 15 slots I opened up after the upgrade to the bigger node in about half that time. @ETIENNESTAR, since we have strict rules on clients inactive for more then 3 weeks, there are going to be slots opening up soon. At least 2 that I'm aware of, possibly more.

Actually, Raven told Waldo to do this because apparently he doesn't want us to associate with them anymore for some unbelievably stupid reasons. But whatever

There is hope for mankind after all.

I am using CBMHost, and for some strange reason, I cannot open the RTB server settings.
I do not have the official and original RTB downloaded, I have DAProg's, and the keybind for server settings in the control options is set to F4. Yet when I hit F4 nothing happens.
RTB Edit used: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=255973.0
If it helps I used FileZilla to move System_Return_To_Blockland into the add-ons folder on the dedicated server and restarted it.
I do not feel the console.log will help.
Please help.
This is more of an add-on issue so I figured this wouldn't go in help. Also, I don't think I'm going to really get help in the add-on's topic. And it might not even be the add-on that's causing the issue.

First and foremost, this goes in the Help section. Two, if you had sent a support ticket to CBM we would have helped you, we are glad to help with add-on issues as much as we can. I have fixed your problem, just restart your server and the server settings should work again.

Well, you'll end up with gigabytes of old .bls files.

No, because I have to mod it, it's not user changeable at this point. The average save file is less then 2MB in size anyway and I have two 2TB 7200RPM Barracuda drives in it, so space is not really an issue at this point.

  • People replacing our correct version of RTB

This is a likely cause, I've been noticing a few servers running the old version of RTB that attempts to post to the RTB servers, which no longer exist and therefore causes the TCP socket buffer to become full up due to the fact that it does not close the sockets after they fail to connect, rendering any connections to the server unable to connect after it fills up. Also, my Pingdom reported 2 minutes of downtime between 6:29PM EDT and 6:31PM EDT. It's done that for three days in a row now, but never more then 2 minutes. So, I need to find out if it's the provider's network going down or a small DoS, both of which are possible.

/dediLoad auto0

There is also other auto files that goes up to 5, I think the lower, the more recent

Just commenting on this, the number of save archives can be increased, the default is 5 before it starts to overwrite the old files, but it can be changed to have 20, 50 or whatever you like.

Off Topic / Re: WTF Is this Email I got from CBMhost?

It was a spam account, it's been registered on various other sites and forums. I deleted it yesterday, so those PM's won't show up anymore.

Judging by your Pat and Redyz "Easter gift" thread you posted earlier (which got deleted), you must be Redyz.

And you would be correct.

$LoggedIP10020 = "72.53.129.170";
$LoggedIP43414 = "72.53.129.170";

Pat:

$LoggedIP11622 = "156.34.213.114";
$LoggedIP43621 = "156.34.213.114";

Guys, Evidence is Pat, BLID 11622. Why he made this drama, I have no idea, but it's for no good reason, I'm sure.

if its http://cbmhost.host56.com/signup/
I can't seem to access it, but maybe that's just my end.

It's you, I can access it just fine. I've been told that some ISPs are blocking access to the site host for some reason, you're not the only one who has had problems. We're going to switch to a dedicated .com domain once we finish the site.

CBM may be free and non-laggy, but there are never any slots open. Even when there are, it says that the form cant be submitted for some reason.

Then, when the form does submit, the slots are taken, which makes you wait for more to open. Rinse and repeat.

You are using the wrong form, we moved the signup form to the new WIP site.

CBMhost's website is really dodgy and the pages won't load half the time. not really a good sign for a hosting service website.

Which site? We have two, one is our main (for now) Webs site, the other is our custom WIP site and as such parts are being worked on and cannot be accessed.

I'm not sure if he's dead, but I can confirm he had a bad migraine Wednesday, the chat log below was the last chat I had with him. If this is fake, he's doing a pretty good job making the times and stuff line up.

Also, the OP lives near Butler, PA and Raven lives near Albany, NY, so it's the same timezone and while it would have been a long trip, they could have met.

Anyways, Whats the limit of datablocks again? Can't remember.

I'm pretty sure 4096 datablocks is the limit.
