But, I'm not saying he shouldn't believe in what he wants.
I don't go around saying to random Christians "I hate you and you are not allowed to be Christian; you must die." and throw rocks at them. In fact, I'm friends with quite a few.
I just feel as if I was instigated into voicing my opinions (in a lashing way, I suppose).
'Tis all.
I just get pissed when they start shoving it in my face, calling me and idiot and messing with my stuff.

Im at the point where I cant even see any evidence for a god, as I know so much about how the world works.

« on: October 21, 2012, 04:01:59 PM »why would it be? i mean, i'm not trying to be some sort of douchebag who wants to "convert" you, hell no, but why would you rather believe in something negative than in something positive? think of how neat it would be if god would exist. you'd go to heaven and life a never-ending life there, and all your wishes come true and all that stuff. but if god wouldn't exist, you'd just rot in the ground. even if you're not aware that you're rotting in the ground, it'd still be a lot more fun if god would exist and you'd go to heaven after living a successful life, wouldn't it? once again, i am not trying to "convert" you. please do not get me wrong.its... hard to explain.
I grew up as an atheist, so I don't feel bad that there isn't a heaven or god. Some people who were born into a Christian family grow up to believe that there is a heaven, and when they realize that there is no god/heaven, they feel like they've lost something, a sort of happiness and sense of security.
But when you grow up as an atheist, you have never known that sense of security. Instead, you live your life to the fullest because its all you have.

There currently is no way to discover if god is real or not and that's why I don't care.there is no evidence to prove that there is a god, therefore it is safer to assume there isnt
