Whenever I start it up, it tells me I need to buy it in 60 days. Is it like winrar in the way it still works?

What are the advantages of buying it?

Yes it still works after 60 days, you’ll always get the prompt, you just wait for the timer. Reaper is fully functioning as a trial. The only benefit to buying it is removing the prompt, being able to legally distribute the sales of things you make from it, and supporting the developers. Buying a lisence lasts you a year of updates (so if you have the last update before your lisence “expires”, and you want to continue having a licensed REAPER, you basically have to stop updating or buy another year).
