someone with a really bad sandy impersonation is calling me incessantly and i am going to safely assume it's someone who dug up one of my contact info threads

Suggestions & Requests / texture support/RGB colorshift settings for specularity of models

just as the title suggests; i'd like a way to change the color of the specularity of a model. not only will this allow for more variety in appearance of shining materials, but it would also then of course be possible to make matte materials, such as wood. i have literally no idea how this would be set up, both on the part of the engine modifications necessary and on the part of modelers getting it to work on their model, but i think it should be perfectly possible with a little work.
any ideas for how in particular this would be set up would be appreciated, though that'd be assuming baddy ever sees this in the first place.

just as the thread says; it doesn't have to be limited to involving me of course, but i was unable to fit "along with other people" in the title so nvm i revised the title after roughly .5sec of thought
some "rules:"
1. don't be richard. be mature when giving and receiving opinions.
2. be honest. don't be a monday just to piss people off.
3. you aren't obligated to do anything for anyone. if you don't want to give someone your opinion about them because you don't want to offend them or something, that's fine. however, people can give their opinions about you if they want to; it's up to you not to read them if you don't want to.
also, if you think this belongs in drama, i disagree; you can expect that there'll be just as much snuggling as punching in here. i wouldn't be terribly surprised if there were more, really.
as a final note, if this thread ends up becoming a stuff storm of senseless flaming with no real maturity behind it (or, realistically, when it happens), i will lock this thread since there would be little to no chance of recovering it.
and so, have at me.

You are a god of nothing. In your godly boredom, you have decided to try and seek some form of entertainment by creating a scenario to go through.
Once you began a scenario, a number of rules apply:
1. The majority of your godly powers will be sealed away.
2. You will have to take a certain identity within the scenario.
3. You cannot escape the scenario until some form of a conclusion is reached.
You came up with these rules on the fly, figuring the experience would be a bit more fun with a little challenge.

General Discussion / [wip] Taboo's Big Ass Corporation VS Rebellion TDM - Minimal progress!

BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN
except not really because MAN it's nowhere near done yet!
here's a quick map of what i'm aiming for: 1 "pixel" = 32 studs
basic landmarks:
the roads are done, at least!
the corporation's spawn room; the door on the left goes to the weapons room, while the door on the right goes to the (currently non-existant) map-spawn room. the console in the center is for saving/loading weapons.
woop woop, weapons! also equipables and stuff. i'm standing firm on my belief that a player's weapon selection shouldn't be restricted; if you want it, you got it!
so! i'm hoping to have this done within the next month, and i'll be preserving some gameplay elements from the original, such as the "semi-public" style using a password posted on the forums and organized play sessions, but until then, you can bet i want help!
got buildings you can contribute? send 'em to me! as long as they can be fit somewhere on a 32x grid, it's good!

they're all basically ripped from S4, and some of them i don't really see anyone but me using, but i recommend you download them anyway to save time loading on my server and so you can still enjoy the full experience of my server
due to them being pretty certainly the biggest thing in your add-ons folder (a whoppin' ~10mb), you probably oughtn't host with them yourself unless you link to this topic or just want to let people deal with the arduous load time
so without further ado:
