did you not already have a computer?i've been borrowing a friend's computer since my good one was stolen; this one ismostly just for laughs. i'm probably going to harvest it for organs eventually. (that 10gb hard drive will be so handy!!!) (it actually has 2 CD drives that i could use though)

my dad found an eMachines eTower 600is at work, ready to be thrown out, and instead figured he'd bring it home for me to mess around with. after some cable hunting and pushing its internals all back into place, i got it working reasonably well and am using it now.
i would post a dxdiag image but i can't find an image uploader that this computer can handle
instead, here's what it says on the front of the tower:
the computer's running windows ME... barely.
the fan's loud as hell.
it has only 1 USB port on the front.
the sound card seems totally broken.
and i loves it.
this is the keyboard
which is now my new main keyboard, forget the police (only issue is that the space bar is nearly detached and sometimes doesn't work; should be an easy fix)
this is the mouse
it honestly isn't that bad, but the ball (yeah, it's ball mouse) doesn't seem to roll quite right on the y-axis, so i'll probably get rid of it
discuss old computers, their swag, and how incredible it is that computers have improved so much over the course of a decade or so.
