that knife isn't going to stop a bear. the most it'll stop is a large dog, and even that is pushing it. For a human, he would probably lunge once and have the opposer grab his arm. If you're doing something with wood such as fletching or whittling, the knife is as suited for the job as a fillet knife. I'm not in the loving boyscouts because i don't like little boy richard, but i know my way around knives well enough to know that's supposed to look pretty.no one gives a stuff how so very tough you are
