I just had a fun idea for duels; Basically, you have a sword, ax, bat, mace, whatever, and it's held directly in front of you, with two hands.

When you swing the mouse and the camera, the weapon you're holding swings with it. If the left mouse button is held down, the faster you swing the weapon, the more damage it does.

In contrast, the right mouse button defends. The more still it's standing the more damage can be defended against. For instance, if a blade is standing/defending perfectly still and the enemy's attack is extremely fast, the damage is nulled to the point it does either very little damage or none at all.

I just thought it'd be cool to have a momentum based fight :D

Drama / "Build Theif"
« on: September 20, 2007, 03:59:40 PM »
Some idiot tried to steal Grim and I's build, the Blocko Stadium (With the soccer field we use for.. soccer...)

Grim asked him directly, "Did you steal this build?"

ARUGENT responds "Yes, they didn't let me play >:("

The save is posted on the forums, under Gallery.

Discuss/Lol.

Gallery / Blocko Stadium
« on: September 18, 2007, 05:34:24 PM »
Alright, check it out. Blocko Stadium is a huge stadium, (Duh.) made for any sport, contest, or bout of stupidity ever thought of. Except maybe, racing, but still.

I'm thinking of applying to MotE with it, because I think it's that good.

In the inside of the stadium, there resides a loop of hallways and windows. So you can get to your seats, a series of toilet-like pipes (The top of 'em ACTUALLY LOOK like toilets) are provided, accessible from the inside hallways.

The field of play in the stadium is accessed through other pipes, lying just outside the stadium. With their high-power air pressure (Plumbing pressure? Whatever.) they shoot teams into the arena. Beware flying football players!

Also, here, it's free of charge and available to the public. As long as you don't credit yourself for building it, and credit Ministry, Ace or I, than it's all good.

Modification Help / Blocko Kart
« on: September 11, 2007, 11:21:20 AM »
Ok. Really. I said Blocko Kart. I'm working on a new add-on pack that simulates a typical racing game. That is, 1 inventory slot, a range of Karts, and stylized weapon/powerups, like Tubro Nozzles and Blaster Shells. (Gun Shells, not Turtle Shells >_>)

A sneak peek? Oh yeah. Here's one.

The blue one is the Light Class Kart, A high-acceleration model, and the red one's the Heavy Class Kart, a kart with a high top speed with alot of weight to fling around. Simply put, the Blue one is a Formula Racer while the Red one is a dragster.

Also, if you want to try out the Karts, you can do so at my server. It's up now.

General Discussion / Grenade Tricks!
« on: August 19, 2007, 10:01:34 PM »
While I was playing on my server, I stumbled apon 2
inventive uses for the HE grenade, but only if you have Friendly Fire on in the Zombie mod.

The first one, which I dubbed the "Grenade DASH" is helpful in those instances you want to leave the opposition in the dust (Litterally!) . When running from an enemy, throw your grenade directly at the ground: Infront of you works best. When the grenade bounces over you, slow down a bit so the grenade (When it hits the ground) is directly behind you. Crouch and jump the instant the 'nade touches the ground, and with the right timing, you'll boost a significant ways away and will be inmotion while you're running too. The Dash is also good for attacking over a distance with melee (Swords!) or leaping over long gaps.

The second is more vertically oriented and is extremly easy to do. For this reason I call it a Grenade hop. To use it, throw the grenade directly behind you while standing still, than hop backwards onto the grenade when it hits the ground on the second bounce. Depending on where you are when the grenade exploded, behind it or infront of it, you'll get a small boost (Walking speed..) in that direction, plus a REALLY HIGH JUMP. The closer you are to the grenade when it explodes the higher you'll jump, good for reaching high ledges or getting into a really high base that you just happened to forgot to add stairs to.

If this is in the wrong section, tell me.

Suggestions & Requests / Boomerang + Bike
« on: August 18, 2007, 11:18:10 AM »
Alright. Boomerang. Cheesiest weapon ever. (Minus cheeserang. But not the point)

Anyways, I was thinking of Blockland with an explosive boomerang: When you throw it, it'd go so far, than fire off an explosion, and return back to the thrower, and DIRECTLY to the thrower, no-matter where the thrower is.

When the boomerang itself is thrown, it'd fly in a slight arc to the right of the player, and it'd ultimatly end up (Before explosion) directly in front of the player, save the fact it's like 15 feet away. On throwing, the boomerang would dissapear from the inventory and when it comes back (When it phases/bounces off anything) and it reaches the player, it re-appears.

Sorry for the juicey details, just sounds like something I'd really like to try.

Ok, onto the next addon featured today, stunt bikes.

I've really wanted to see something with a stunt "feel" but isn't only for stunts/racing. Something that you would typically see riding around streets, no matter where you are: And I found Bikes. Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, it's everywhere BUT BLOCKLAND :O

Anyways, the Bike I'm thinking of would be somewhat "bouncy", so if you were to go up a brick ramp you wouldn't necessarily feel a huge difference than say the ramps on Stunt Park (See maps...) but still stable enough to go thru a flat street without the bike "sagging", or the chassis falling low to the ground. Otherwise the idea is kinda open, any model, (Though I'm personally thinking a BMX bike would fit best) feel, whatever the creator wants, would go well with my idea. Minus FLYING bikes. Those freakin' fail. Really. Who the HECK would wanna ride a bike THRU THE AIR? How the heck would that feel?

Anyways, that's all for today. If I have any ideas, I'll post again.

(Get it? BOOMerang!  :cookieMonster:)

Modification Help / Wanted: Ball model
« on: July 19, 2007, 08:21:23 PM »
See title. That's about all I need. A ball model and a blank texture. If it can thoroughly fit in your hand, kudos XD

But, anyways, if you need to know why, it's because of a bug with the pokeball model. (Which will be released soon!)

Suggestions & Requests / Stunt Bikes
« on: July 07, 2007, 09:48:55 PM »
I was thinking what BL would be with stuntbikes. Not as *vehicles*, but that item-vehicle hybrid thing (Skiis), but with some tweaks so you can easily trick and get up to speed. Think Packer's skates with a new model and more stability. And wheels.

OK, just a suggestion, go ahead and comment.

FYI: I ment stunt BIKE. As in BMX. Just for alittle distinction from the typical "HOLY CRAP I'M GOING TOO FAST AHH" *Hits wall* DirtBike.

That wouldn't be noob safe. (Do it anyway! I wanna see some PAIN!)

Suggestions & Requests / Riot Shields?
« on: July 02, 2007, 06:48:16 PM »
I was thinking that there could be a "shield" item on BL, since I got it. I mean with all these guns 'n junk, what do you defend yourself with?

Well I was thinking someone with coding ability could pull a riot shield. That'd probably be the first DEFENSIVE mod out there.

Modification Help / Boxing Gloves help
« on: June 18, 2007, 02:02:34 PM »
Well, I'm trying to make a boxing glove kinda thing, where if you hit the enemy, he'd tumble, start moving back a fair distance (10-15 meters) and take some (very little) damage. If someone could help me out here, I'd be delighted.

Oh yeah, I could use a model too. I'm new here, so don't expect it to be that good.
