what would be even cooler was if more context-sensitive voice commands had extra animations to help convey information

like if there were a "go that way" command, you would spawn a little arrow pointing in the direction you want people to go, and if you're looking somewhere nearby the actual voice quip would change from "go that way" to "stay here"

or possibly you could simplify it even more and just have a "do something" command, and then have it do different things depending on what you're looking at

or alternately a very brief process if you know what you're looking for

like no amount of cover up the criminal does should allow him to go off entirely scot-free, but he can hide the evidence very well

maybe even if you do use a mask, you have to get rid of it, but you can't destroy it- after the heist is said and done, if someone- anyone- finds the mask then you are immediately linked to the case and suddenly everything (and possibly a little more) is attributed to you and you have to deal with the cops. thus, after every heist the criminal must somehow make the mask disappear or he's in deep stuff

and all you have to do to query this guy is literally lead an investigation and try to find where he hid his mask

this could lead to things like people building extremely elaborate complexes to hide evidence or the creation of 'disappearance' companies that basically serve criminals by giving them a place to get rid of their proverbial skeletons which seems ludicrously cool

war is basically two dudes fighting over something

you've got the 'fighting' part down but the 'something' is lacking

the entire point of a beach raid is to drive the defenders back far enough for the attackers to get a foothold and stay there

the point of shooting dudes on the way up to the foothold is so that you can get up to the foothold without being shot at by the dudes that are defending the foothold, thus allowing you to actually capture the foothold without being knocked back down by the defenders

And just shooting people will give other people who actually want to capture the point an opportunity to capture it.

the problem with this train of logic is that people will always just shoot eachother if it is an option- if you're going to include an objective, the objective has to be the only way to win or else it's just going to waste

you know now that i think about it a theoretical blockland convention would either be basically one big fistfight with a buncha nerds (which i would be totally hyped for) or basically a really quiet, meek and horrifically awkward meet-n-greet with a buncha nerds

and in either case eventually someone'll show up with a great big crate'a legos and we'll all put apart our differences and make some neat thing together

it's not default at all

default-ish isn't even stretching, it's a total misnomer

like not even the art style is particularly default-type, and besides that you can't use 'realistic' and 'default' in the same phrase because default isn't nearly realistic

these aren't default, they're more like tactical weapons except they have stuff sounds apparently

and like that's not even painted by any bias i have against 'realistic' weapons in a blatantly unrealistic game like even outside parties would tell you this wasn't default-style if you compared the two types of gameplay
