Custom sounds? I can't seem to find any good ones. No I refuse to use any valve sounds because they're all so overused and terribad

apparently people don't like your sounds either so something has to be done. valve sounds aren't the only ones that exist, either, put some effort into it at least

what you should do is make it so everyone who logs into the server gets a bot, and if they leave the server the bot spawns in their place and doesn't despawn for a few hours (or until it's player returns) and anything that anyone does to the bot, they also do to the player

so for instance if a criminal leaves just before getting arrested the bot is still right there and can still be arrested for you

in addition, you should have random 'civilian' bots wander the streets, going to banks and whatnot, that criminals can pickpocket without forgetin over the rest of the economy and police can occasionally 'apprehend' (but not straight-up arrest) for doing something like littering or loitering

however bots that are aware of either party will turn and run, and if you murder one it still counts as murder (assaulting one still counts as assault, in a similar vein, but the bot will run from you instead of try to fight back) so theoretically wanted criminals could blend by just acting like bots in a crowd

maybe they could have AI intricate enough to explicitly visit shops and houses so if you want to make money, you have to have a shop that allows visitors in then allows them to leave. in order to circumvent people just having one-way shops, you can illicit a fine (or possibly an entire crime? taking hostages? unrightful captivity?) for capturing visitors and not allowing them to circle back to spawn

I have a suggestion regarding the crime system.
Why not just get rid of the demerits system and replace it with judicial system?
A person caught will be held in custody until he has a proper court (if he desires it), and when the court happens, there will be prosecution, defense, witnessess and evidence.
Think of the average court as a game of Phoenix Wright.
Judge decides the final sentence, should the defendant be declared guilty and sentenced to something, or should he be declared not guilty and let him go?
Ofcourse, you'll have to write some sort of in-game lawbook so judge, police and lawyers can read up on it. It should document all the crimes and what's the sentence for said crimes. I can write such a thing for you if you want me to.

there's only so many cases you can program into the mod and eventually any 'lawyers' would just catch onto the case and steamroll anyone who doesn't already know them

and juries are probably the EASIEST forgetin thing to rig on blockland. seriously.

oh no it's not even that it'd be realistic

the intent is to speed up gameplay so people are more on-edge and getting shot is way more of an issue



because as it is i can basically just waddle into the forgetin middle of a fight and pump lead into individual targets and just TANK the stray rounds that hit me

like i steamrolled 3 rounds by just going 'well i guess if i'm gonna shoot a bunch of dudes i'm gonna be the DUDES SHOOTINEST PERSON ON THE PLANET' and jumpin up and surprising like groups of 4 people huddled in little masses behind bits of cover

i mean that should still be possible but it should be WAY more reliant on me dodgin everything instead of taking any hits

the only thing this server needs is for people to die WAY faster

like literally a 3-shot burst from an smg should off you (maybe 5 shots for the mp40) and most rifle shots should take you out in one shot



also, stop usin pills. if anything i'd use gcat's medkit thing (or possibly my syringe with a different model)

i also suggest having people spawn as a random class and have them have to operate based on the weapons they have been randomly given
