to be absolutely fair the whole idea behind feminism is to entirely remove the barrier between feminist and non-feminist markets

like they're trying to explicitly make it so that there is no double standard or any noticeable difference in the way either love operates besides physical differences

are they even fighting oppression? i'm pretty sure loveism at this point is mostly a sort of hold-over from when women were actually oppressed that hasn't quite been phased out by women getting into prominent roles in society (though they are theoretically capable of doing so)

once in a while i have to be reminded that people are still sorta loveist

thanks for clearing that up for me guys

i think as far as women and intelligence i heard somewhere that men think better in concentrated bursts (you know, eureka moments, quick bouts of cleverness) and women think at a higher level consistently but as a result don't have as prominent or as drastic peaks

Off Topic / Re: How do YOU talk in real life?
« on: August 02, 2013, 02:22:07 PM »
i try to talk exactly how i type (or possibly vice versa), up to and including using 'like' every other sentence

the biggest difference is that i don't pause as much as my text would imply (or more accurately i don't pause for as LONG as my text implies)

also my normal tone of voice is yelling and it sounds even louder because my voice seems to hit just the right pitch to reverberate wildly off walls n stuff

General Discussion / Re: Theoretical discussion on how new names work
« on: July 31, 2013, 02:53:38 PM »
I think it just rolls over the taken number.

Example.

Blockhead60000 but he isn't really blockhead 60000

So when the person who's ID is 60000 comes along they get 60001.

this is what happens

a long time ago (pre-1000) some guy got the name of the next blockhead, so every blockhead after would be one number above what they should be

tristan there's a line between common sense and full-on forgetin telepathy

the dude's not gonna get everything right on the first try, and topics like this show up once in a while anyway so if people stop hounding him for not knowing what he's doing it'll drop right to the bottom and nobody will have to remember that this ever existed

... and besides, if maturity were a requirement for using the forums, everyone would be banned anyway

didn't realize that you could describe an amount of money as immature

like overpriced? yeah. a scam? yeah. immature?

Drama / Re: I'm so sick of some peoples' grammar
« on: July 30, 2013, 08:07:47 PM »
it only ever bugs me when people go so far off into antigrammatical space that i just can't understand them anymore

like usually the way people type (for instance, largely without caps) is supposed to reflect how you're supposed to read them, as a stand-in for tone of voice

for instance i put entire gaps instead of periods because otherwise i would read my posts like one long run-on thought, instead of a thought, then another thought

competitive smash bros

the characters aren't balanced enough to use for entirely-skill-based play so items must be brought in to level the field and- beyond that- introduce a level of chaos to keep things fresh

but simultaneously items also are random, so you can't use them in tourneys either

certain weapons aren't affected by your momentum, while others are

tier+tactical weapons by-and-large are completely unaffected by momentum and thus fly to where you shot them every time, all the time (barring spread of course)

however default-type weapons usually don't do that

learn to figure out which weapons do which quickly, so you don't get caught off guard
