it takes place in any slate map, with only a few datablocks to minimize load time- probably just the player and whatever emitters used in the build

going into the edit door simply starts up a slate map and loads the set for you to modify

DON'T MIND ME EXPANDING ON THIS IDEA

the room itself is a small area with your blockhead, who spawns in the middle, with 4 doors (+ 2 side 'doors', which are simply you going off to either side of the screen to roll onto the settings/server options)

this major 4 door area (join, start on one side grouped together, tutorial on the other side alone, and a new selection called 'edit' smack dab in the middle)

going into the Edit door will let you modify the join server, start server, and 'hub' doors by simply building the sets. but, not the options/apply rooms

if you find yourself doing something stupid like blocking the edit button, you can press escape and simply revert to the default hub for a bit

the join server/start server rooms are technically just little pedestals with monitors in the middle of the room. standing infront of the monitor cues a short-ass cutscene in which your character walks to the very center of the pedestal and zooms into the monitor while the screen blacks out, when the associated GUI appears

transferring to either of the sides of the hub, going through any door, etc, simply fades out the screen and then fades it back in

as in a bar that reads how much tension there is or like an actual object

5466
well the sport rifle pierces everything too and nobody calls it overpowered unless the other guy's clipped into the loving wall

...cookie.

but then again i'm remaking it, when i'm through it'll KINDA be like the assault rifle, but easier to control, way more accurate, but significantly less ammo

scratch that idea, crossbow'll just pierce people again.

how has nobody said this yet

5468
do you have any idea what you're doing at all

you fight someone
you kill them or get killed
regardless of the outcome you RELOAD (with your loving light key) to make sure you're ready for the next fight so you aren't caught with 1 bullet left in your magazine

seriously man it's like you're trying to be stupid

OH ON ANOTHER NOTE

more ideas for the crossbow, feedback would be cool

> using the crossbow ONCE will empty it's clip, but not force you to reload: this is because reloading is a lengthy-ish process that slows you to a crawl while it happens. it's best to be in cover when you have to reload
> the crossbow pierces EVERYTHING: not just people

5469
no stuff really

this is why YOU RELOAD

5470
SO YEAH

on the to-do list: extend reload times (by a loving lot)
fix crossbow
make military sniper concuss people

5471
what

they raycast all the time

5472
actually i might just be good inherently. i don't practice with these things and everyone's head flies off when i come within a 5 meter radius

5473
SO, idea for the balancing of the hunting crossbow (and general modifications for tier+tactical in general)

overall
increase reload time by 1 second for EVERY. SINGLE. WEAPON.
(for tactical reasons)

the Crossbow
add a 'windup' time in which you can prime, but not fire, the crossbow- this process takes 1 second and slows you down like the LMG but not quite as long. there are no penalties for winding up

the Military Sniper
reduce damage to 70
increase minimum shot time to like .4 seconds
add 'concussions': hitting someone in the head will 'stun' them like the sandman does and do the full 90 damage

the theory is that blockland bullets are essentially all dum-dum bullets: they explode on contact with anything and the SHEER FORCE of the bullet hitting is what causes damage. theoretically the military rifle's bullet is RIDICULOUSLY LARGE.
