Off Topic / My Birthday.
« on: December 10, 2009, 04:18:10 PM »
Yay.
I've lost the excitement from my life. Nothing makes me really excited or really super happy anymore. It just seems like any other day today. I feel really depressing.

Off Topic / Err... What Was That Show Called?
« on: November 26, 2009, 01:48:43 PM »
I remember seeing this small episode of this "show" on a VHS tape. The tape hat stuff like H.R. Puff and Stuff, Wonderbug, and other shows that were a big mind forget.
I remember seeing this show, and the intro tells about this kid who saw a magic show, and he was curious about the magician or something, so he found a giant top hat in the magician's room, so he jumped into it, and fell into a world where there were hat people, and the Great Houdini or something. There was also this girl who was terrible at magic, and hid in this ring.
I just can't remember what it was. Any of you know? Or was I just high?

Off Topic / Whoo! Free Condoms!
« on: October 29, 2009, 04:40:24 PM »
Our highschool had a resource fair, and there where a bunch of people that came to tell us about their company thing.
There were people looking to make better more organic food, and create new recipes, there were people who where there for people to call and discuss problems, blah blah.
Then there was the medical booth. Not only did they offer free services (such as pregnancy tests and birth control for girls), they gave us free condoms! Even ones that grow glow in the dark.

I got 5 of them.
I hope I get to use them soon...

Off Topic / Ear entrepreneur le?
« on: October 21, 2009, 07:24:01 AM »
Ok, so, maybe 4 days ago, I started feeling this bump INSIDE of my ear lobe. It felt like a small ball was growing on the inside of it.
It's as if I have a entrepreneur le on my ear lope, only it is growing backwards. The only thing that you can see of it on the outside is a tiny little bump.
What is it? What can I do?

Games / Half-Mind
« on: October 17, 2009, 01:26:50 AM »

Half-Mind is a modification of Half-Life 2, but it requires HL2 Episode 2.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XcLtPbakTw
Basically, it's just Half-Life 2, only really forgeted up.
It's also only the "First Chapter" so far.
It will make you laugh. Quite a lot.
Link for more information:

Download:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/half-mind/downloads/half-mind1

To install you must download it, run the installer, browse to your "steam/steamapps/sourcemod" folder, then install there. You will have to restart steam for it to show up in the games list.
Again, you need to have Half Life 2 Episode 2 to run it.

Games / Garrysmod Video: Need Voice Actor
« on: October 03, 2009, 01:28:37 PM »
I'm looking for some voice actors. I'm making a short, and I need someone who is willing to swear, and maybe be a little loud.

The story goes...
A guy just gets a new camera. He runs into his apartment/home/room, showing off his home off because he just moved in. He shows around the room, and tells what some stuff is, and where stuff is going to be. He is mainly trying to show of an experiment he made. It's a microwave oven with the door taken off. He is attempting to microwave a small doll outside of the microwave. When he turns it one, he starts to run, and things start to spark and light on fire. Metal objects start exploding and he tries to escape his home before his head explodes.

Why is everything blowing up? Well, if you didn't know already, microwaves create... microwaves to bounce around inside it. This heats up liquid. And if you haven't seen what happens when you put tinfoil or a cd into a microwave, then I'll tell you. CDs start to spark up and light on fire, and tinfoil also sparks up, that would ignite other objects in the microwave.

If you want to be the actor, please send me a sample of your voice through PM, and send me your Steam name, in case I don't have you on it already.

Off Topic / Help Me Find Milkshape 1.7.10 Demo or Nif Exporter
« on: October 02, 2009, 10:13:14 PM »
Hey guys. I really need a demo version of Milkshape 1.7.10. Why 1.7.10? Because it's older and it actually has a .nif exporter. I need that to test out something I made. If you could find a plugin, that would be cool too. Don't give me the one that is for startrek or something like that. It's too old for it to work.
Really, I have searched myself, but I need some help.

Found one.

Off Topic / Just Started Lock Picking. Any Tips?
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:53:15 PM »
I just started lock picking because there are drawers in my science class that are locked, and I want to know what's in them. So, I got them open fairly easily, and it seemed I only needed to jiggle around a lot with only once pin, when there were five.
I opened 7 drawers easily, but when I test it on my house door, it takes much longer and doesn't seem to work.
Any tips to become better and more efficient with lock picking?
The tools I have are a pressure wrench, a normal hook-like pick, a snake-like pick, a circular end pick, and a tiny triangular bump pick.

Creativity / Beaten to Death
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:25:23 PM »
A small descriptive piece I wrote.

Quote
You get pushed against a wall, and you head knocks up against the brick. You're slightly dizzy and your head hurts like a bad headache. You try to regain focus, but by the time you try to move, you're face collides with a dirty, clenched fist, cracking your jaw into a bone-scraping position. Your tooth knocks loose while it rips your gums into a bloody hole. Your head knocks against the wall again, ripping the flesh. Your head begins to bleed while you get kicked in the stomach, creating a long lasting pain throughout your body. You lie on the ground gripping your stomach, while a large brick is dropped on your heaving chest. Your ribs shatter inside your body and carve through your skin, and puncture your lungs. You can no longer breathe, and you can hardly move. A knife slits your throat open and blood starts to poor out of the wound. Your vision begins to slightly fade, and you are slowly becoming numb. Eventually, you cannot see, hear, taste, smell, or feel.
You are dead.

This is the first ever time I have used illustrator, so I'm sorry if I'm not as good as the rest of you.

I know this was traced, but I had to for a graphic design class in school.

Creativity / Old Man Mask -WIP-
« on: September 20, 2009, 02:16:22 PM »

A mask I am creating, of an old person. Once I'm done, I will mold it with alginate and plaster bandages, and paint the mask, with acrylic paint. The mask will either be latex or silicone. I use oil based clay, and only a couple tools. The base I put the mask on is a life-cast of my uncle's friend, made from ultra cal plaster. It is finer, making it more accurate and stronger. I made the nose bigger, chin stand out more, wrinkles, and everything you see there.

I would love some constructive criticism. I need to make this better.
This is how I'm making my mask:
Make the shape, then smooth it, then add tiny detail.
I'm doing the forms right now, so don't say anything about how it's not smooth enough, or it needs more detail.

Pictures taken with my father's iPhone.
