It depends. If a dev can really push the limits of what we now deem to be realistic, they should by all means go for it. However if they're going to strive for realism and do it badly, I would much prefer stylized graphics.ya what he said, but the game's gotta have good artistic direction regardless.

many states have id lawsTrue, in certain states you can be arrested for not identifying yourself, but that is not the same as it being illegal to not carry photo ID as Alyx Vance suggested.

I'm a bit confused as a non-American, why do you need an ID to get a job?to make sure you're not a criminal or an illegal immigrant I suppose. Although in this case I think he probably has sufficient ID already but doesn't know where it is or whatever.
Its also illegal not to carry an id. Almost been arrested over it beforethis is absolutely false and whatever police officer you dealt with is a total piece of stuff, unless it was more complicated than "cop randomly stopped me and asked for ID."
