It's in the package, and I guarantee $PH::HunterBlindValue is true when hunters are blind. %this.tdmTeam is also 0 when they're a hunter.

Am I missing something?

General Discussion / Ambient Occlusion ?

So I was loving around and suddenly realized...





Chrome effects at corners look a lot like ambient occlusion. Does the chrome effect we have drop the frame rate? Technically yes, but it's not really noticeable.

Wouldn't it be possible to use whatever method Badspot used for the chrome effects and use it for ambient occlusion? This and the shadows would look amazing.

Since Marble Man's prop disguise code was released, I thought somebody should take it to the next level and unleash its full potential. So I coded this, using the base level code and Slayer's game mode functionality.

Levels
Just like SpeedKart, this uses a map/level system to make it even more fun.

 PropHunt_ACM_City.zip
 save.bls The save file for the map.
 credits.txt Contains the names of the maps' creators..
 environment.txt The standard environment file using $EnvGuiServer variables.

  • New taunt system - comes with 18 taunts by default
  • New prop system
  • New death sounds
  • New game mode icon and description
  • New Prop Tool icon
  • Hunters are placed in a box before the round
  • Fixed players not being blinded when switching to hunters
  • .wav files can be placed in GameMode_Prop_Hunt/taunts an are added when the server starts
  • Props are now the same size as their bricks in all dimensions
  • Props only rotate when they are moving; you can look around without being seen
  • There is a prevention for disguising/undisguising beside walls so props won't get stuck
  • Prop Tools are invisible when their parent is disguised
  • Disguised props must taunt every 30 seconds
  • Props can press the light key to taunt
  • Players are shown a graphic of their team when they spawn
  • Disguised props have a slight tint on their screens
  • Props can right click to remove your disguise
  • The first map is now loaded when the server starts
  • The amount of taunts on the server is now in /help

Description
This is a mod which is pretty self explanatory, it adds music support to the main menu. Unlike other menu music add-ons, this isn't complete crap!

It comes packaged with a default song -- the music from the day cycle preview video.

But if you want to, you can select a song from your Music/ folder, and even toggle the mod from the options menu.

The options menu. There is also a faded icon in the main menu which indicates changing a song.

Version 2
Changed the way variables are saved, so it will always be the same song if you add more music to the folder. Should have been this way at the start, but we're incompetent! Re-download!

So I decided to join a random "Blockland Server", and a kid named MR SPAM GUY greeted me. He started showing me around his city, which he said he's been building since 2012.



He said he wanted to show me something, so we ran a long and winding road to this.



He showed me the McDonalds inside and took my order.





...











So, yeah. This dude made my day.

Instead of wasting his time arguing and playing on Family RP servers, he spent his time doing what the game is for: building.

This is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like it was really taken from space, how the forget did they do this?

The nebulas in the background when you zoom all the way out is also beautiful, glad there's a sun now too.

Off Topic / Why does my town have FlyOver on apple maps?

When I first opened maps in iOS 7, I saw my house was in 3D to my surprise. I swiped around a bit and I now know my entire town is in 3D.

Isn't FlyOver just for massive cities? Did somebody come to our town and ask Apple to flyoverify it? Seriously, i'm so confused.

The game's been running really slow since 1.6, which was weird, but I just today realized VSync was on. It was capped at <30 FPS. I turned it off, and now it's super fast and smooth.

Why would that be on by default?

Anyway, I've been thinking, and teleportation--which would be really cool--probably wouldn't be possible for at least 100 years. I mean, it's probably very possible with the technology we have today to remove a particle from one point and place it in another, but that would need two giant machines in both spots.

The sound of teleportation would actually be quite loud and annoying too. When you teleport to one spot, the air around your now-gone body has to collapse in as fast as it can, which the pressure of the entire atmosphere. So basically it would sound a lot (or exactly) like thunder.

"Chat Taunts" is a simple mod i'm making that lets you say stuff in the chat with a sound to go along with it. You type into the chat: @ and the name of the sound, and it will make you say the correct message and play the sound that fits it. For example, you would type @backup and it would make you say (Voice) I need backup! and play the sound where your player is.

Sounds
I'm thinking of allowing pack Add-Ons, like ChatTaunts_TeamFortress2, so you can distribute them without needing to modify the add-on. It will also come with some sounds built in, here are the list of sounds i've made:

I just banned like 12 spam bots from my forums, it's really starting to piss me off. In fact, it's not really possible since the registration has a strict captcha, so it must be human.

How the forget is spamming a small forum going to get any money? Like anybody's going to purchase anything from you?

Also, I just googled my site and apparently it's on some shady japanese bloggy bulletin board spam things.

Does anybody know how to stop this? I tried using robots.txt to block Google but I had no luck.

Modification Help / Rising Lava Development

About
Rising Lava is a challenging yet addictive game. You are dropped into one of the maps, and have to survive the lava. The goal of the game is to survive the longest and push other players off with your mighty Push Broom. The maps rotate every couple of rounds, like in GameMode_SpeedKart.

Features
• Fully automated map rotation system
• Useful commands for use by the admin
• Advanced score system, including saving

Planned
Not much as of this moment, but i'm planning on making some more random events. (Possibly zombies?)
I'm totally open for suggestions!

Project Development
Rising Lava is fully created by myself, but in the future I can see others helping out. Feel free to host the Game Mode, but i'd prefer if you wait a bit until I add some more features. The Game Mode is very fun, but it's also very bare-bones and could use some touching up.
