I think this'll have to go in the main post when it's up.Haha definitely!
It's sounding too good to be true...I haven't made any of my plans public yet, not sure what sounds too good to be true.
lol, didn't know windows had netcat, thought that was a 'nix thing. It surprised me too!
Can this be used for purposes other than testing, if so, are we required to port forward? In theory, yes but you have to manually send data, you couldn't really use it as a permanent TCP endpoint. If you want external connections, yes, you'd have to port forward.
Could one not use telnet or netcat for a client?Sure, but the Windows netcat utility is stuff imo and it's nice to have a GUI sometimes.
You're so dumb it's not even funny.Guess I am, better just not turn up to any of my remaining exams.
You fail.I don't care about other people's connections lol, my post was talking about my connection, no one elses. You don't need to try and compete with me all the time, it's ok.
Once again, know-nothing Lub says something wrongSpeedtest has always showed me the "real, sustainable" speed I pay for. I can download/upload for hours and happily achieve that speed for the majority of the transfer duration, it's not just a burst speed.
Yeah, he's Europe.I'm Mountain, huh?
And you're Mountain.
If the server Lub was hosting earlier was running on the server network that his hosting service is going to use I already prefer it hugely over Kalphiter's. I still prefer to host servers myself, though.Nah that was running on my home connection from the UK, ping is gonna be lots better (I think you're in Europe right?).
well the only parts ive ever had "die" on me for no apparent reason, were RAM (thank god its the cheapest and easiest part on a computer to replace)Hm fair enough, as I said above it was probably the GPU being stuff. The Apple Genius Bar is fantastic for support, especially if you have an extended warranty, no need to mess about shipping parts back to manufacturers and waiting weeks, they just sort it there and then.
and a power supply, though i suspect that computer i built wasnt handling heat very well, and it was the cause.
i have heard of harddrives stuffting out on people. but they have been writing on and off the things for years, or claimed used old ones to add to their computer.
brand new HDD should last at least a decade with basic use.
i think mac users can buy and rebuy extended warranties beyond the free limited one at purchase.
however pc users have lifetime factory warranties on all parts from every company. regardless when or where you got the pc
typically floor models of computers or badly shipped computers have issuesI built it myself and it was completely perfect for about a year. The GPU was only like £30 because I have no interest in games so i'll put it down to that being a piece of stuff.
whats the price gonna be lubabububabuabuaubabuaubaubaubauProbably no less than the competition.
