Well it could do, traffic to Australia from America can be hauled through Europe for a variety of reasons. The latency difference between West Coast -> Pacific -> Aus and East Coast -> Aus isn't that great and better quality networks (the ones my provider use) will route more efficiently. What Bolster is saying is definitely possible and shouldn't be dismissed just because you don't understand how the Internet works.

ping doesn't make a difference in how much lag you get, you can have high ping and get good internet.

This makes me want to completely disregard your comment about how my service has more lag.

Anyone who is experiencing genuine network lag on my service, please PM me as I'd love to run some tests.

Yes, though it would also be nice if you could overwrite that save with whatever the server is currently configured to.

I've thought of another suggestion when I was rebooting my server just now. We should be able to modify the environmental preferences through the panel, or at least be able to load up from the last saved configuration.

Another thing, I attempted to load my bricks from one of the auto-saves and it did not work correctly. It's not a huge issue, but it should be fixed. When I select "Load in server" on my auto-save, it plays an animation but never does anything; I ended up just downloading the save and uploading it.

Thanks, the first suggestion is currently in development as it has been suggested a fair bit. Would something like a default save that is selected on the configuration menu and loaded every boot satisfy that request?

Edit: might have misread that, I'll come back to this when its not 5am.

Alright sorry to hear that, I'll look into it in a couple of hours and get it resolved.

Aw, look at that, inferior player limit.

I too could up the player limit for an event, would even have the capability to distribute clients between servers at the click of a button to ensure that event got maximum resources. None of your standard servers run 99+ so please, pipe yourself down.

Service update
We've just deployed a new server in the New York datacenter to deal with demand and to distribute some servers across them to ensure everyone gets plenty of resources. As the new server is in the same location as the existing one, you won't get a choice regarding which node your server gets deployed to, it will simply deploy to the node with the most free space.

Over the next few days we will be migrating a few servers from NY01 (the existing node) to NY02 (the new node). We'll let you know if we're going to move you and choose a time when it's most convenient for you. Please don't request a migration to the new server - the servers are in the same location and have the same hardware resources so you'll gain no increases in performance. If you get migrated, please make sure you update your FTP login to connect to the correct hostname as shown on the FTP access page.
