I'm arguing for the latter, you can't ban all guns.

No it's because you're an idiot and refuse to address legitimate points that I have brought up. You are just another typical parasite that wants to work towards banning all guns because you have such a deluded perspective on reality that you don't understand that simple, bite sized solutions that an autistic 8 year old can fart out to a large complicated problem wont work and will make matters worse.

- It doesn't matter if the journalist doesn't outright name the AR-15, they still make reference to it and they quote from experts. It's not an op-ed.
- Cars are made for driving. Guns are made for killing. There's a difference in purpose for both. And no, it's not as easy to drive a car through a brick wall into a school like a cartoon than to bring an assault weapon. AND chlorine bombs are illegal.
- Yes, you could enforce an assault weapons ban nationwide. Saying "criminals will find a way" is an argument against any law in existence. There's significantly less Aussies than Americans but they've had an assault weapons ban for more than 20 years and gun death has nearly been eliminated. You really think the bogans know more about this issue than we do?

So now I've addressed every point you've made so far, and if you want to call me a "parasite" after that than the only reason you need an AR-15 is so you can shoot yourself on accident.

The only reason support for gun control goes down is because the issue is discussed less after news coverage moves on from mass shootings

and in big democratic cities like detroit and chicago, where there are ridiculously strict gun laws, gun violence is out of control

Because, like fireworks, you can go to the next county or state over and buy them there instead. It's hard to implement gun control laws if they aren't nationwide.

and if we banned planes you'd be fifty quadrabazillion times more likely not to die from a plane crash but that doesn't make it right

What makes it not right to ban assault weapons? If you have more kids dying because some crazy brings in an AR-15, I say it's wrong that your solution is not doing anything

If the journalist isn't going to bother naming the type of gun that was used then it is clear that they have no clue what they are talking about and should be disregarded.

- A picture of an AR-15 is literally at the top of the article.
- This isn't an op-ed or an editorial piece.
- This article quotes several experts who are well-informed about the subject and are able to back up their claims with evidence.

People will still be people. Take their guns away and the next news article will be '400 stabbed in fatal school stabbing'

See leisuresuit banning their tools won't do anything

Even if potential shooters turned to other weapons, research shows that attacks with guns are five times more likely to be lethal than attacks with knives. Do you really think the kid in Florida would've been able to kill as many people with a knife or a baseball bat? That's dumb.

"experts on gun violence" would know some things called "the black market" and "handguns"

If you knew about "the black market" you would also know that almost all gun crime is done using legally purchased weapons. Also that the amount of gun deaths would be significantly reduced if assault weapons were banned, as previously mentioned.

I know shootings like this are not politically convenient for pro-gun conservatives like you but there's overwhelming evidence stricter gun control would lead to less gun deaths overall.

i'm not sure how this guy is dramatically worse from the countless other artists who draw depictions of underage characters
that's not a defense of course, i'm just wondering what makes him so much worse. so far none of the content in this thread really jumps out at me and makes me go "wow! this is on a different level from every other artist who draws underage characters/incest!"

Considering TN made this thread it's probably less about the fact that he draws literal child research and instead that he made a video critical of Ben Shapiro
