YouTube's recommending algorithm is weird at times, somehow an animated Alduin and Bueno Mars is enough to be recommended to me.
Apparently the title format is I learned [talent here] to [do something about the original video] which is how this silly video came to be.

The original video: https://youtu.be/GjjZacZSWT4

No girl bots were harmed or filmbots were used in the making of this video, wow funny joke haha

Thank you Mario! But our Princess is on another server!
Many of you know Filipe had a collaboration project about a red chest, well I did some thinking on how I would pull together an ending for it... and in about 2 - 3 weeks(ish) this wondrous castle was built. Referring back and forth between game and internet, I matched the castle as close as I can using Blockland limitations. I think its pretty damn perfect, but you guys can rate whatever you want. Also, I worked hard on this, I thought about making it public... but I like to think of it as art, it was built solo, no external help was used... I am proud of this.

{BONUS I even have the basement door, the front doors that lead into darkness and an original image for comparison}

Last but not least, watch my entry for Filipe's Red Chest Collab, which I also worked very hard on.

Hey you!
Do you like Wind Waker?
Do you like specifically the Water texture, for some odd reason?
Well today is your lucky day!
Get it here!

Pirate at sea

Texture, I guess

*Muffled "Hyaa" in the distance*
 (Also the texture looks better when the water isn't transparent)
I felt inspired by BLockyBuildingBro's original Wind Waker water addon, and felt it could use a little more HD. So by using Hypatia’s Hi-Res Wind Waker Texture Pack, I basically made the water look slightly better.

Here is a comparison of both addons.

The one on the LEFT is the original jpg.   The RIGHT one is the HD png image.

You can be the judge which one is better.

I just did a test and I forgot to change the zip file name in the `.water` file

Suggestions & Requests / Easier event sequencing

Have any of you guys/girls/whatever tried to sync music to fireworks or light emitters? If so, how hard is it to perfectly time everything, I'd say it's hard, doing the whole "minutes to milliseconds" conversation. Well I could use a conversation calculator and audacity, but what about using MIDI note on and off commands. Go ahead and say "Torque doesn't support MIDI." I'm aware, I've tried before, but say we took the MIDI commands from this {MIDI: tune.mid opened in Notepad}

(sorry for longest post ever, trying to get the point across) anyways, the Note On/Off would cause events to be triggered on a block with "MIDI" properties, such as Note and Channel. The file itself would only be sending the commands not a physical midi player, but would send them server-wide.

I can see this being extremely useful for firework/light shows. One more thing, the second code would be the read file by Blockland, MIDISwing can display the MIDI Events which can be copied into a text document and saved since that is more understandable. So basically, it's a giant VCE midi player.
Code: [Select]
ifValue vce:global:midinote = 60 ch1
ifVariableTrue Self spawnProjectie Firework Red (S)
Think about it.

Gallery / TheBlackParrot's Falling Platforms Jackpot OMG
« on: October 07, 2015, 07:58:18 PM »
This just happened, during previous times I played the Jackpot Slot, I thought how funny it would be if I won on 666, and sure enough it happened. I just had to post this due to the high amount of excitement.

Also, I posted it here since it has to do with blockland, not so much a build, more like an image, but would something like this really belong in General Discussion?

Suggestions & Requests / 45° Brick Pack
« on: September 13, 2015, 04:19:27 PM »
I thought how cool it'd be to have all the default bricks (1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 5x height, print bricks) rotated 45 degrees, there could be a use for those. The Wedge Bricks are cool but kinda limited, so either someone make a brick pack or link me to one. Thanks

Thought I would hop aboard the craze that (Ten)Eksi started years ago, the video (10006.mid) was hilarious and so was the other one done by Filipe1020 (10006.MP3), I looked to make sure that no one has done a .avi or .wav, so I picked .avi.

The picture is the gateway to the video

Gallery / [Video/Playlist] All my Videos Made in Blockland
« on: May 27, 2015, 09:58:04 PM »
I've been playing Blockland alot, and with an active YouTube channel, I've made quite a few videos. There are atleast 14 videos in the playlist called "Blockland Videos" (how imaginative). Now I give you the internet web address to those videos. If you love my videos, please consider subscribing.

Be sure to watch my (somehow) most popular video "Element Animation's Rules of Animating Part 2 in Blockland".

Modification Help / Listing things
« on: May 04, 2014, 08:58:47 PM »
I'm working on MIDI Events for blockland, I wanted an easier way to have things happen without going back and forth
to see if I timed it right. I'm hoping Torque and Blockland can use MIDI, if not, then I'm screwed. I can't seem to list MIDI Files from a folder or zip file. Help me out here, I have no experience with torque, I'm only learning from addons, but I can make like sounds, prints, easy stuff. Well easy for me

This is how I left it as I posted this.
Code: [Select]
function MIDI_SongList($MIDI)
 {
   //
   %pattern = "Add-Ons/MIDI_MIDI_Files/*.mid";

   $MIDI::numMIDIs = 0;

   %file = findFirstFile(%pattern);
   while(%file !$= "")
   {
      $MIDI::Song[$MIDI::numMIDIs] = %file;
      $MIDI::numMIDIs++;

      %file = findNextFile(%pattern);
   }
 }

RegisterOutputEvent(fxDTSBrick,"Set_MIDI_pref","int 1 16 1\tint 0 127 60",1);
RegisterOutputEvent(fxDTSBrick,"Play_MIDI_file","list $MIDI" TAB "bool");
//The MIDI Preferences are Channel, then note. The Play MIDI file bool is for
//whether or not the song will be played or stopped.

function MIDI_note_is_on()
{
}
RegisterInputEvent(fxDTSBrick,"MIDI_note_is_on","Self fxDTSBrick");

function MIDI_note_is_off()
{
}
RegisterInputEvent(fxDTSBrick,"MIDI_note_is_off","Self fxDTSBrick");

MIDI note on and off explain them self's, basically everything is explained, I just get can't get the list to work.

Help / Vehicle Re-Color Event won't save
« on: April 27, 2014, 06:34:16 PM »
So I have a friend who even saved something and loaded it back up, the re-color event was unchecked when it was checked prior to saving, even if I saved the same thing with it checked, it would be unchecked. What causes this, I searched, and got nothing.

Help / Blockland Extra Screen Resolutions
« on: April 21, 2014, 02:33:26 PM »
Does anyone out there now what add-on causes this, I want to get rid of it, but can't find it in the Add-Ons Folder.

Code: [Select]

OpenGLDevice::setScreenMode 1024 682 32 60 0

Drama / KimFire26's servers, don't join them
« on: March 14, 2014, 06:28:12 PM »
I was on KimFire26's Survivor vs. Zombie server, and it was an edit of the Pirate DM map, just lacking water. Now he(what I assume) wasn't in the mini-game so he could fly around with a Rocket Launcher. The part I knew that he was new was his ID, 78866, pure newbie. Also, he kept saying things like "me admin" and "no kill me". When I do kill him, I got kicked the first time, then killed him again, and got banned for a minute. He is French too I believe, so he might say things in that language.

So I don't recommend joining any servers by this guy unless you want to deal with a noob telling you no to kill him.
