At the end of a playoffs, I'm gonna make a compilation of every playoff overtime goal this year.
There's nothing in sports like NHL playoffs overtime. It's probably the most exciting out of all other sports, as well as the most nerve-racking.

it would probably end up being battlefield 1944, as battlefield 2 already exists and so do 1942-43

Whatever the name of the game is, that's gotta be the next logical step in my book. 2009 was the last Battlefield game to be during WW2, which by 2017 will be 8 years ago. I played BF1943, and from what I remember it was a very simple game, but still fun. Before that, it was Battlefield 1942, which is already 14 years old. I haven't played or heard of a big budget FPS game set in WW2 with the kind of large-scale battles, destruction, graphics, and team play like anything Battlefield does.

It also makes sense from a business standpoint. I don't like comparing games, but BF has the upper hand over CoD big time. I think it's the perfect time for a WW1 game from BF. EA DICE knows they would be super successful making a WW2 game with the tools they have today, but I think it's a smart move to save that for the future and release Battlefield 1 this year when they know people are going to buy it. They're set up very well right now in my opinion.

Poll updated.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the reveal trailer, but I'm still happy that it's WW1. I was hoping for a WW2 Battlefield, but I will definitely settle for this.

And you never know, maybe the next game in the series will be Battlefield 2 (WW2). That would be amazing.

I say I don't care, I love BF4, and if the next game is anything like it I'm sure I'll love it too
I don't really have any interest at all in a futuristic or historic battlefield game

Fair enough.

no thanks. modern plz
if there is going to be another historic or futuristic battlefield it should be a spinoff, like it has been in the past

Ok, but what do you say to the people who point out that BF3 and BF4 were modern, and if BF5 was modern it would start to get stale? People were already saying how BF4 was too much like BF3. Some people, including me, would welcome a change of scenery, especially when a lot of recent FPS games have been modern or near-future.

I would love to see WW2 again solely because graphical technology has come so far since the last major frontline WW2 game, and it'd be awesome to see in glorious 4k sepia tone.

I forgot about this. I'm gonna add this to the OP.

I'll do a unconventional list

Remembering that I'm young and that I still have a whole life ahead of me
Random unintentional moments of nostalgia (certain songs tied to certain moments, or having a good deja vu, etc.)
Keeping warm
Getting good chills/goosebumps (parts of songs, movie scenes, thinking about possibilities, watching sports highlights and sports commercials, etc.)
Walking outside and for the first time in a while it's perfect out (sunny, 70 degrees with huge, cool looking white clouds and fairly windy)
Feeling happy and like nothing matters or that I can do anything
Realizing I don't work tomorrow, or the next two days
Finally getting over something that's been bothering you or worrying you
Stretching for the first time in the morning
Getting into the warm shower in the morning to thaw
Mornings in general
Realizing the worst of it is over (for example, in high school we had an ABC schedule, so certain days after lunch all that would be left would be Psychology (favorite class) and then gym)
Sharing my feelings (don't get to do it very often)
Speaking my opinion (I'm kind of one of those people that don't speak a lot, but when I do people listen)
Going to bed not having to set an alarm

Games / Battlefield 1 Revealed, Set In WW1 [Poll Updated]
« on: May 05, 2016, 12:14:49 AM »
So 2 years ago, on exactly May 6th, I posted this. In 2 days, on May 6th, EA DICE will be revealing Battlefield 5, and many believe it to be set in WW1 or WW2.

First off, what are the odds? Exactly 2 years this Friday I posted that and it just happens to be the EXACT DATE that they reveal BF5. Secondly, what are your guys' opinions on the rumors. Would you like to see the next Battlefield be set during WW1 or WW2?

Personally, I'd like to see it in WW2. Could you imagine:

1. Fighting in historical battles. Imagine storming Omaha beach, defending Stalingrad, taking Berlin, flying in the Royal Air Force, the Battle of Midway, or the Battle of Moscow, or even just fighting with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
2. The cool WW2 era weapons, vehicles, and setting in general. I'd love to roll up on my enemies in a WW2 style tank, or fire on passing enemies with a BAR, or just be crawling through the snow in Stalingrad. The visuals and sounds would be amazing. Battlefield is good at immersing you into the battle, and I think it'd be hard NOT to do that if this thing is set in WW2.
3. The gamemode possibilities.
4.
I would love to see WW2 again solely because graphical technology has come so far since the last major frontline WW2 game, and it'd be awesome to see in glorious 4k sepia tone.

The other rumored possibilities for BF5 are modern (again), or they could counter CoD and do a futuristic setting. I, however, see the most probable to be WW1 or WW2.

Yeah so the Blues just won it 6-1. They take a 2-1 lead in the second round series.

Stars' defense isn't very good. Actually, they're pretty bad. They also had a bad game on top of that. It doesn't help that they keep alternating goalies, either.

It's good to see Steen and Stastny contributing on the scoresheet. Same with Tarasenko, but I knew he'd have a good game because he was due. You can only contain him for so long. I think the same can be said for Benn, though, so I expect some big games from him moving forward, unless we keep him tame like we did with Toews and Kane.

I agree with you that Hitchrooster needs to stop "turtling" when we have a lead. In game 2 we had a 2 goal lead going into the 3rd period. 20 minutes is way too much time to be defending a lead, especially against the best offense in the league. I think we did a much better job of having that killer instinct in game 3 and smelling blood when Dallas was down going into the 2nd period. Instead of trying to just survive with a lead, we kept up the offense and chipped in a few goals, extending the lead. I can definitely see us putting up another 4+ goal game or two if Dallas keeps playing like they did last night. I just hope the Blues don't expect the Stars to keep sucking. They can put up a string of goals faster than the announcer can announce them if you don't watch it.

I won't be surprised if we see Seguin on the ice soon. Maybe not in game 4, but perhaps game 5 if the Blues take a 3-1 series lead.
