Players have more powerful weapons then newcomers, that shoot faster and do more damage. That advantage hinders players abilities to get better guns.
Yes, it hinders the player, but it does not prevent them. I meant that it does not stop them altogether.

sounds like a kid with a superority complex.
How so?

no one is claiming its hard or impossible to get the othef weapons. that isn't the issue. you know... the non issue that only you are fixated on.
Then you tell me what the issue is so I can quote my first post where I already answered it.

this is why you, and people like you do not design games. because what you like is not balanced for a proper multiplayer experience.
What is a "proper multiplayer experience?"

you just like the fact that you can lord over other users on the internet. its less a game to you and a self esteem feeder.
I like the fact that you actually think this. You're studying my post too hard and drawing crazy conclusions about me. You really shouldn't tell people things like this if you don't know who they are. Eventually it will bite you in the butt. I hope you don't make the mistake when it matters.

I actually really liked the weapon shop system and only wish there were more weapons.

I don't really care if this has been resolved or not. The weapon/shop system blaming is getting old.

I have never, not once in my entire life, had a problem with DMs being "unfair" because of the shop system.

That's because it is completely fair. The point of the shop system is for players to work their way up in the game. You rack up points, buy new and improved weapons, and make your way to the top. New players are suppose to have crappy weapons when they first join. It is entirely a matter of how the new player uses those weapons. I find it funny when people complain about the starting weapons because usually it takes me about 5 minutes to get the next best weapon. I actually laugh at them because it's hilarious how dumb and unwilling they are to put in the work to upgrade their weapons. If you want everything to come easily and for you to get amazing killstreaks right off the bat, you should just leave because that's not how it works.

Actually, your logic is flawed. Since when did other players' weapons have anything to do with your ability to get better guns? And you're not the only one who is new to the server, there are plenty of other people in your exact position.

Really what it comes down to is:  people need to stop blaming the weapons themselves and start blaming the player holding those weapons.

If you don't like it, don't go there.

I don't understand all this Tezuni drama. The only reason why it exists is because people don't learn.
There's just so much of it. And most of it has to do with bans/admin revokes and stuff.

If you don't like it, or think it's dumb, don't support his server/him.
Basically what facechild said.
Tezuni's server appeals to new players, as well as other players who haven't experienced servers that are good. I'd say 3/4 of the players there at any given time are fairly new or players nobody has ever even heard of. Its player count relies on these types of players, which is why it's always near the top of the list; there are always new players and dumb players roaming around Blockland.

It's not a bad way to get your server popular, making it appeal to new players. In fact, you could compare Tezuni's to a decent family rp in that they both are run by noobs and played by noobs.

That's just my opinion, though.

Alright, I have two people giving me different directions.

I have the server running with the server ip blank, like it should be. I have all the white-listed stuff ready to go and I can join it from this computer. I am using the ip4 address to join it and it works. When I put in the exact same address on the laptop, I get nothing.

What do I do now? I have seen videos and when they port forward, they set it to 25565, which is what mine is on. How could it be my ports? I have all the right things set in the server settings or else I wouldn't be able to connect to it at all.

I thought my port was forwarded. It's 25565 or something like that.

I'm trying to get a server going so I can do some multiplayer survival on Minecraft with someone.

First off, I tried LAN. It didn't work. It probably had something to do with the fact that one of the computers was a wireless connected laptop and the other was a wired desktop computer. It had worked before when we did it with two laptops, but one of them is really slow and not even worth playing on.

Now, I have gotten a server going on the desktop computer by using the server download link on Minecraft.net. I have all the settings dealt with and have it running. When I go to multiplayer on the desktop computer and add the server with its ip, it pops up like it should. It has full green bars and I can join it and play on the desktop computer.

However, when I put the exact same ip in on the laptop, it can't find it. It keeps searching and it never pops up like on the other computer. The server is definitely up and running because I can connect to it on the desktop computer.

We tried turning off the firewall on the laptop, but the server still didn't appear.

Could someone help me out here?

Agreed. I forgot to mention that servers that use pistols for starters are terribly outbalanced, but a mix of weapons allows for fairness.
I liked when a server used T+T and starting players had a pistol. It was fun to see people blame the pistol for them dying and not being able to buy other weapons.
