« on: December 14, 2016, 09:30:47 PM »i know a guy who i just can't figure out. i know he's a smart person, he takes hard classes, does his homework - knows his stuff, basically. the thing is that he acts like he's 10 in any social situation. the other day, our school gave out these cheap sunglasses as a part of a rally. well this guy got 4 of them and he's been wearing all of them at once ever since. he does weird stuff like that all the time, waiting for someone to make eye contact with him and react to him being a dipstuff. if nobody reacts, he'll just keep sitting there. he'll sit and do literally nothing for up to an hour at a time. when he's not being annoying he's a forgetin stoic, so i know that he does this stuff for a reaction.these aren't dumb kids these are future serial killers wth
i was pretty sure for a while that he was just loving with us, that he actually wasnt that socially awkward but i think he's for real. he's kept this thing up for 7 years. im afraid that someday he's gonna lose his cool and break character. who forgetin knows what this guys gonna do then.
i know another guy who got totally left behind socially. he's the oldest child of 4, three younger sisters. he's startlingly immature. he looks a couple years younger than he is and acts worse. if you talked to him, you'd get the impression you were talking to a 10 year old trapped in the body of a 14 year old, who is also trapped in the body of a 17 year old. hes super friendly to anyone who isnt a girl, who he still seems to maintain are gross. academically, he's great, but i think he has really bad information retention because he never uses bigger words and tends to repeat himself a lot.
he's not a bad guy at all, but i dont know what he's going to do when he leaves high school. he just seems so mentally unprepared for reality.
in one of my classes, i sit near a kid who just forgetin loves skeletons. skull hoodie, skeleton rings, all his social media has skeletons for the profile pictures. he seems like the type to like the unironic kinds of thing you find on r/the_pack. especially the background images. he once told me that he manipulated a group of friends he didnt like against each other, which i have a hard time believing considering his social track record. if he's telling the truth, then he's sociopathic. if he's lying, then he a socially awkward liar. he also likes to play armchair psychologist and act like he's helping people with their problems, but i get the impression he's mining for information.
he doesn't really seem to get how he looks to other people. maybe he does know, and doesn't care. maybe this is some next level social engineering he's pulling on me. i dont know.
