Off Topic / I hate this year.

Well, as most of you know, I haven't been around here for a long, long time. There is a perfectly good explanation for this, and I'll tell you why:
First: Grades.Let me just say right now that being a junior in high school is no loving picnic. I've already had my grades drop to C or D averages and we're only in the fourth week of school, but this happens to me almost every year anyways but I swore to myself this year would be different. Guess not.
Second: Marching band. I used to love it and dedicate my life to it, because to be honest, I have a lifelong passion for music. This year, however, it sucks horribly. We have this new assistant band director from Ohio State University and of course, he has very high standards of what a marching band should be like. So because of this, we're being pushed incredibly hard this year and all the fun things we used to do have been pushed out of the way and canceled and such to make room for practice, practice, practice, practice, practice. Everyone in band is pretty much losing their minds and getting pissed off, and so am I.
Third: Homecoming/Girls. God loving dammit this is where I royally forgeted up. For privacy reasons, I am going to call these two girls "Saxophone" and "Annoying Orangeet" because those are the instruments each girl plays, respectively. So "Saxophone" and I have been friends for a good long while, I would say about 5 years. Now as you all know, dating a friend you've known for that long and getting intimate with them would be awkward to say the least. I was faced with a decision at the beginning of this year: would I ask "Saxophone" or "Annoying Orangeet" to homecoming? I picked "Saxophone" although I was somewhat skeptical of my decision. "Annoying Orangeet" however had some extreme feelings for me and wanted to go with me. I felt bad about this because for some reason, I had picked "Saxophone" while I had the same feelings for "Annoying Orangeet". So about a week after I had asked "Saxophone" to homecoming I was starting to get a bit weirded out because she was starting to get all "cuddly" with me if that is the word I'm looking for. Now this is where I wanted out. Luckily, she said that she did something stupid: about a month ago she promised her ex-boyfriend she would go to homecoming with him. She said she didn't like breaking promises, so she said she was going to go with him but still wanted to get into something with me. I, upon hearing this news, was overjoyed that I was free of this awkwardness. The night after she re-asked me because she "felt horrible" and I said no. Since then, even though I had made it painfully clear I didn't want to get all "cuddly" with her anymore, she has still been trying to get all up on me and it's annoying the stuff out of me.
This is where "Annoying Orangeet" comes back in. Now that I was free from the evil death grip of awkwardness of "Saxophone", I was excited to go ask out "Annoying Orangeet" because I had strong feelings for her. Knowing she had the same, I knew this would be a cakewalk. But luck seems to enjoy playing this little game with me called "Now I get to forget with you." Apparently, "Annoying Orangeet" had a boyfriend now, they had only been dating for two days or so. She found out I still had feelings for her and started to get severely confused. She said she still had feelings for me but couldn't break up with who she is with now because she likes him too. This was a huge smack in the face for me.
In conclusion, I am now living a horrible twisted nightmare version of my normal life where band sucks horribly, school is going in the stuffter, and I have no homecoming date.
The only good thing that has come from this year is that I decided to give Drama Club a try. We're doing "Grease" for our first production of the year and apparently I have a phenomenal singing voice. Therefore I have been given the part of an understudy for one of the lead characters. This means that if the person actually playing that character is sick or something happens, I go on in his place. Otherwise, I'm just in the chorus. But others have told me that this is very impressive for my first show ever.
tl;dr: Get the forget out and don't even bother posting. If you actually read this through completely, feel free to post your thoughts on this situation. If you're just here to try to be funny, leave. I don't want to deal with your stuffty humor right now.
