idk i might have did something wrong

i saved you about 30 bucks

The video card and storage dont have prices.

Plus, the OS doesnt have a price, so as far as im concerned, you just implied he has to pirate his OS. You better change it quick.

Looks like that's a preference issue on my end with certain vendors being opted out, never mind I guess. (Was still logged into PCPartPicker account with Newegg being selected as the default vendor and a few others) Better pay more attention.

what about the coal generated electricity that powers your whole home and rig?

This topic has really derailed.

We just wait until fossil fuels run out and society starts to panic, that's all. Anyways please get back on topic. ~$1000 is plenty to get a good rig, DELL are you saying you don't want that seriously? You don't have to brag about "having a high end rig" you know, DUH.

Except the 270 is measurably faster, and costs less. I still recommend the 270X

And has DOUBLE the TDP (115W vs 60W) for the small amount of improved performance it has. Did you read what I said at ALL?

That's not the point. The point is, you're wasting energy for no good reason regardless of the card, and it doesn't make any sense to go full on ecowarrior when neither choice is good for the planet anyway.

Plenty good reason when a card that performs identically to another card has a higher TDP.

If you really wanted to save the planet you wouldn't have a gaming computer in the first place, because what you're essentially doing is burning coal to power your expensive hardware so that you can make temporary images appear solely for your entertainment. The 750 ti is a good option for people who can't/don't want to upgrade their psu and for people who want to make very quiet HTPCs or NUCs because of a lower TDP to disperse with fans.

That being said, I think pentium has the best build so far, but it would definitely be worth stepping the 270 up to a 270X so you can comfortably game 1080p at high settings instead of medium. I know you can get the XFX 270X for only $10 more

Solar power does exist. Its too bad its not the dominant source of energy intake.

I'm sorry but could you stop with all this "environmentally friendly" stuff? It may be a thing for you but most people don't care how much they have to kill the planet in order to play games at a high framerate for a specific price.

Dude, you're being a richard about the destruction of our only place to live. Unless AMD steps up their game about power efficiency the greener choice is always for right now Nvidia.

I know most Muslims aren't the stereotype, and I hope that in countries like Iraq and Iran; the military takes full control. Also I'd like to see that same pie-chart that shows the amount of terrorist attacks on US soil from 2005-now. Also it says 42% Latino on there, and that doesn't make sense. The only thing I could think of is gang violence that some may commit and that isn't an act of terrorism, at least from what I know. I'm not saying that most terror acts committed in the US are Muslim but in the Middle East, I think the amount of extremist Islamic attacks are a common thing and happen everyday in many of the countries there. It is terrible.

Do drug cartels ring a bell? Does that not make any sense?

Most coolers come with pre-applied TIM

In the gaming benchmarks I looked at the R9 270 is better than the GTX 750 TI despite being around the same price

It also uses more TDP, so it isn't environmentally friendly for that performance.

Stock coolers aren't always the best.

Normally I'd only recommend the stock cooler for Intel Pentiums and the i3s, anything above that should really get an aftermarket cooler.

Symantec/Norton Antivirus thinks everything is a virus.

Norton actually detected one of its own files as a virus once labeling it malware.

True story.

well if you believe that jesus/god created evolution (which is just fine and dandy, and a reasonable religious belief) i dont have a problem with that, but if you believe that two humans came out of no where please do the world a favor and change your degree

Not to ignite the religious flame wars but it depends on the definition of creationism.

Remember that before accusing someone of stupidity.

Big deal. They both have exactly the same feature set (bar for Shadowplay, but I doubt he'll be using that), and if the 660 is faster than and can be had for the same money as the 750ti it's a better choice.

Yes and the wooden club is certainly a step up from your fist.

Sorry, I just can't see why Nvidia is incentivizing people to downgrade a generation of technology. His 750 Ti is way overkill, even for his 900p screen.. and I presume in a few months I'll start disliking the 700 series, as badass of a card the 750 Ti is for its generation.

I noticed that the 660 surpasses the 750 ti

That is a step backwards in technology and is not something you want.

Why is everyone suggesting the 600 series? Leave it alone. If you want to upgrade the GPU later get a GTX 760 or later.

my monitor is 1600x900

For now, even a 750 Ti can break records for FPS speeds with most games.
