Alright, cool. What do you think of DVS Shoes for skating?never tried em. Go for it
Is it possible to just buy more expensive wheels later if I'm not satisfied? Or say I want to keep the trucks, bearings, and wheels, but want a new deck? Could I just get a new deck the same size?everything is universal.
get spit-fire bearings you silly head.Spitfires are good, but ShakeJunt's are really good too.
gah, did he already send you one? I was watching a movie with my parents so I was afk.ye buddy
you're so loving hilarious man 10/10
Alright, will it really be that bad to buy from Zumiez though? All the other skateshops are down in Minneapolis, not sure if I want to go that far. Plus, my friend is telling me that local shops generally charge more than Zumiez because they are local.Yes, because 1. you're supporting a mall store run by people who normally dont skateboard (its location being in a mall and all that). More people go to zumiez because its more convenient, so more people buy there. But, what about the people who actually care about skateboarding at skateshops? They get nothing. At all.
I'd say Visage and Skate are the only guys that actually gave me advice. They've given me advice from both ends of the spectrum, and now I'm confused of whether to get a blank deck or not. Not trying to be mooching you guys, but could you just pretty much link me to everything I'll need except the deck & shoes?go ahead. you're new and needa save up, im just saying go with another board if you have the cash.

You're giving uninformed consumerist advice like paying more for name brand grip tape that will do nothing. It's not about preference you just are a sheep that blindly loves brands probably because all your peers love those brands for the same reason. using the defense "it's just my opinion" or "it's just my preference" doesn't mean anything when you have no basis for your reasoning. You're not being helpful towards him given his situation because he wants a starter skateboard for as cheap as possible and you're like "BUY THAT PRO GRIP TAPE BRO MY FRIEND DID A 360 FLIP WITH IT ON HIS BOARD ITS THE BOMB."im giving him something that will last him a while, and help him save. If he's new, he's not going to throw himself off of a loving 13 stair, he's just going to keep it simple. If on a cheaper, less quality board, he were to try the insane stuff, it would snap/break down, but from all the non hardcore stuff he did on the board, its hardly damaged, and will last him a lot longer.
I do normal things like play catch, work at a job, etcthats great.
no like, no offense or anything.oh okay.
just first two pages your advice to the OP is like dead on and actually helpful.
see most people, like me, would've just told him to a zumies at a mall :c
look at Skateaton strutin' his stuff like he GI dont get it. All i did was give the OP information on what works for me, visage disagreed and jumped to conclusions. thats about it. Im not strutting or showing off.
:D
