you can go on like ebay and buy a 50 foot component cable for like 20 bucks. people could have a large room and have things plugged into a computer from far away if they wanted

Yeah, that too.

The whole point is that he said a computer and a TV together look ugly and are impractical.

They are clearly neither.

So as you can see this is a case where my computer and the TV are already right next to each other in the room. Obviously that makes it a tad easier, sure, but this same application could be achieved by simply putting a tower next to that TV stand with no other hookups but say like a wireless mouse if you want to get the full effect of a "television"
although Windows Media Center thingy has a remote if I'm not mistaken.

It's hooked up with 1080i component cables, to which no I don't have that fancy of a graphics card. While it is an HD supported card, it only outs in S-Video, so they give you this nice converter to go with it.

Now what this does is allow me to view my computer as a second monitor in HD and thus, all I have to do is drag a player over and full screen it.

When it comes to things like "Apple TV" it's cheaper and ultimately more satisfying to hook it up the way I have it here (or with just a tower if it's in, say, your living room) to get the exact same effect.

Your computer is a DVD player, a Youtube browser, and a Media player all in one, plus it can play games, browse the web and so much more. All of this done on a HD flatscreen like mine and you're in business.

Nope, this one streams wirelessly and you can play things you already have. Putting a computer near a TV looks ugly, and is sort of impractical. The apple tv was given to my dad for free, who in turn gave it to me. It was free, so I don't give a stuff.

Wait no one say anything about this, let me go take a picture of my very set up that is this!

I think that no matter who plays Blockland, they will unavoidably go camping at one point in the their gaming career.

My favorite was to always bust out of the Bedroom Dark and drive for a few "miles". Once you've found a flat spot, build a tent and a camp fire, then tell ghost stories,

Thanks for reminding me to update the PSN list.

Oh, well if you'd like to let this topic die, and yours back into light, add me as well. My PSN name is, obviously, Swholli.

You just had to go back ONE page..

Yeah, didn't realize, my bad. I searched for the topic too, and didn't find anything. Ah well. Doesn't matter.

I'm sure topics were made in hype of this, but there also doesn't seem to be any topics (at least on the front page of games) to do with the game now that it's released.

I just purchased it myself and have yet to play it, was wondering who has it and thus what your PSN names are. We should totally play.

Oh, and as usual: discuss.

EDIT: Oh there was a topic that was bumped today, but it fell back into the obscures just as quickly. Oop. Oh well. Still something I think we should talk about.

Played the demo at Best Buy yesterday and own the first one, so I already know how awesome it's going to be.

Yeah, for those of you who did in fact not only believe this bullstuff, but at the same time think that if a star did go supernova it'd be bright enough to be like a second sun?

Here, let's think of it like a third grade science experiment, shall we?

Say lightyears don't really matter and that light could travel instantaneously but still within the guide of regular space, meaning we could see the light the same time of it's emission but it's still the same distance.

So now lets think that I have a flashlight. You're standing on the other side of a dark field at night and trying to read a book. I offer to give you some help with that, but I don't actually move, I just turn on the light. Sure, you can see it, but that doesn't mean you'll be able to read your book.

Betelgeuse, in that "no lightyears" situation is like my flashlight. Assuming it didn't take years to get to earth, if it exploded tomorrow and we could see it the same time it exploded, it'd be noticeable, but it would not look anything like a second sun.

Now, admittedly I'm no scientist, but really this should just be common sense. And for an added bonus, let's quote an actual scientist:

Quote from: University of Illinois astronomer Jim Kale
The supernova would hit somewhere around the brightness of a crescent moon.

The story would be much more accurate if it said "second moon."

Gah. I was forced to get a cell phone. I have no use for it other than in case of me becoming stranded.

Make sure brag about it to your friends. Rub your high level in their faces.

Oh yeah.

Except pretty much all of my friends are the same age as me. lol.

Did you buy a mount at morph day 16?
Also why do you associate chest hair with being 18.

I dunno, I assume it was the programmers way of saying something "manly"

Also yes, I bought an American mount, the "Monte Carlo" who I named The Duke. He is a fine steed with a dark blue coat.

Hey oldcigarettes (and newcigarettes too) today's my morphday!

I finally reached the landmark level 18! I'll be continuing grinding though for that all encompassing level 21.

So anyway, I just got an achievement pop-up labeled "chest hair:"

It says on the game's official wiki that I'm able to now partake in elections, purchase tobacco based products, and legally expose myself nude on the internet.

(Oh and now I don't have to lie about my age on those game websites where the game is rated mature. :D)

Discus other benefits to reaching level 18 or feel free to wish me a happy morph day. I think this is now my fourth morph day spent here, so I've literally grown up with you guys. Yay.
