Americans have it easy. Playing ranked on EUW when no one speaks the same language is challenging.

odd that Empire is the only one I've played and I enjoyed it
There's a lot of controversy about it being unpolished in the community but there's no controversy as to how fun it was. It was a fun as hell game at any rate, I enjoyed it too.

Ehh, imo Empire was the weakest of the entire series. You should try out some of the other demos

Went from Bronze V to Silver I by just putting my head down and try harding super hard. You need to churn out ranked game after ranked game to get good. It sucks but you'll see yourself gradually improving.

i want rome 2 so bad even though i'll probs never really get into it dfuisgheirusghj;uirhj

Nickelob pls

But seriously, with most TW campaigns I get a few dozen turns in and just save and quit, I have so many unfinished saves just sitting there. But i'm pretty confident Rome II will be easy to get into.

NA?
I'm stuck in Silver V because I'm kinda bad.

Ehh, EUW

I guess I could jump onto NA and level to 30; 100 ping isn't that bad. Only if you want though

Yeah, he's right. Empire was really buggy and glitchy on release. But come on, you get to fight in India, America AND Europe. For me that does outweigh the bugs

Society getting more sensitive? No.

For Christ's sake you have girls walking around with their tits in your face half the time and no one says a thing. 50 years ago if you were Frankie Boyle or made a joke about the Jews or Cancer - you'd get your head kicked in. Society is FAR more acclimatised to touchy subjects nowadays - the only reason we're sensitive to subjects such as Islam is if we slag them off we get our children blown up in a car bomb.  Seriously, just go outside and look at some of the puns in advertisements. There's so much innuendo etc around us that no one even takes not of.

You mean the nukes designs that were stolen by a few spies that defected to the USSR.
Like the Japs were any better. Ever heard of the Butan Death march where Japanese soldiers would randomly cut the heads off captured US soldiers with Katanas, The Rape of Nanking, Sook Ching massacre, Unit 731, ect.

To call the United States the only evil empire is absurd. Were civilians killed by both sides yes, intentional? Maybe, maybe not. Lot's of Western powers have committed violent acts against indigenous peoples. Are we bad, sure. It's in our nature, but we can evolve out of it if wanted to. Is the US Government still doing bad things? Yes. So are the other countries in the world.

I've heard of them yes, what the Japs did in China was horrific and I agree they're no better. I'm not taking sides here and only criticising America because it's the nation in question and the only reason I used Nagasaki and Hiroshima was to show that the shining United States is not as good as some people think; in order to give ground to my argument. What the difference is between the US and Japan is that the US has the capability to these things on an unprecedented scale already, and giving them more means to become an invincible military power is not a good idea.

However, your point is very valid and I completely agree with you.

hey uh handicap

the atomic bomb was dropped via plane

not sure how the forget it fits into the space program
America doesn't need orbital bombardment, we have enough nuclear ICBM's to destroy the world 5 times over, and I'm not sure how orbital weaponry fits into the NASA space program. That's military funding, and if the military WANTED to develop orbital weaponry, they'd have it done by tomorrow.

You're denying the expanding of humanities horizons because you think America has some sort of global domination plan. You're loving delusional.

First off, why don't you just calm down a little bit. You're getting a little aggravated.  Second off, I'm going to ask you to read what I said again but slowly this time as it's apparent the way I word things surpasses your meagre IQ. At any rate, I'm going to explain it again for you.

It's a well known fact the atomic bomb was dropped using a plane. It was a VERY risky operation that could have been foiled easily and with today's radar technology would just not be possible. In order to pull off a stunt like that the technology has to go further - into space. This is how it fits into the space program.

You said yourself that America has no need for Orbital Bombardment. This is actually false. Ever heard of the phrase 'war is peace'? America has the largest military budget by MILES because overwhelming military might is the only way to have things your way. As America would have us believe, peace is their way. Despite countless wars in the middle east. More and more countries are becoming nuclear capable with countries such as Iran being able to field their own ICBMS in the future. Obviously countries such as Iraq inevitably getting weapons capable of real mass destruction scares the west. It even scares me, and it should scare you.

The human population is growing at an uncontrollable rate and world poverty is decreasing. This means the rate of consumption of natural resources such as oil will sky rocket in the foreseeable future. As the search for renewable sustainable energies has all but failed many first world countries as we know today will eventually fall to this. This will force America to put its foot down once again and declare a percentage of those resources its own. However, the time for such actions will be rather far into the future and many other countries will be far more militarily capable than they already are at this point with China and India expanding at such massive rates it would not be surprising if America advanced it's military strength with a weapon with otherworldly strength - this is where NASA comes in.

NASA is a government funded agency and you could go so far as to say it is actually a government agency. If the American government or military wanted to put a weapon into orbit or space - the whole world would go loving insane. Although that has never really stopped America (see Guantanamo Bay).

It's laughable that you think loving America is the definition of 'humanities horizons'. You're the one who's delusional. You think if NASA just by a miracle cracks the secret which allows them to project objects near or at the speed of light they'll share it with the rest of humanity? I can't believe this what you're saying. If a kid gets a new shiny blue bike does he share it with all the other kids? Of course he loving doesn't. He keeps it for himself and exploits it. This is apparent in ALL AREAS OF LIFE. This is so painfully obvious it's stupid how this hasn't occured to you. Declassified documents have shown that America had world domination plans before the second world war. Besides, they don't even loving need a plan - there only has to be an opportunity.

I guess you could say that I'm an idiot and ask me what else we're supposed to loving do apart from stay on the same planet and go extinct. Humanity however, will run it's eventual course.

It's sad how many of you are misinformed. The United States Military bombed and killed thousands of innocent people at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They don't give forgets about bombing someone else. The only thing stopping them is being bombed back, and for you Americans - they couldn't give two forgets if the American people were bombed. They care about their government and infrastructure It would cost too much to actually be bombed and a large percentage of their military capability would be gone.

Now imagine an American weapon in space, untouchable by any other nation. America has full control as well as the most powerful military on Earth. Checkmate.

Although funnily enough America colonizing Mars would probably give them motive to bomb someone because for forgets sake they're on Mars and untouchable. Even if these are unrealistic scenarios and you think it's stupid and they're improbable. It's still a standing fact that any nation that has power that would make them pretty much immortal is a very, very bad thing.

Also, give me a source for that 'law' of yours that prohibits any space weaponry.

Holy god no. I'm going to spare you all the massive explanation and paragraph and hope you can work it out for yourselves. Can you imagine if the American Military or Government got their hands on Orbital Bombardment technology? Or a technology that is completely out of reach for any other nation on Earth? You probably think NASA would only increase the amount of robots on Mars and put a man there in less time than already planned. Nope, there's a reason America has a military budget three times larger than the entire world's put together.

Increased funding for space exploration would be great ONLY if the entire planet put together some kind of coalition space agency and every state and country of Earth progressed at the same median rate as opposed to one single nation having too much power. Once again, there's a reason there are massive universal laws upon who can actually claim ownership of the moon and other celestial out-with earth objects.

The same awful scenario occurred when America was the only nation to have the atomic bomb in its possession. If the national socialist Regime was still in full swing by that time, it would have ended the entirety of WW2 - there's no question about it. Thank god Russia got its arse in gear and begun development of the same calibur.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys; humans are ass holes and there's no doubt that the technology that increased funding to NASA would open up new technologies that could be abused.
