Are we going to try to get Blockland added? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Badspot tried to get it on Steam a while back.

Off Topic / Crazy stuff you did as a kid.

Alright let me explain some stuff:
My parents are really bad at getting rid of old stuff and they never finished the Porch or the junk heap of a room we call the "Great Room". (It's a big room in the house above the garage.)

Anyways so me and my brothers (We were really young at the time like preteens) did this stuff the room inside was the first one we built a fort in and we brought wood in from outside and dragged it up a good 10-15feet to the rafters and built an area up there. (We used shelves to climb up.) from there we put more wood out onto the insulation and wen't above the rest of the house (That's the dark area.) though we didn't venture very far out.

The other spot is a bunch of wood that was on the porch that was intended to make the inner wall of the porch and we make it across the entire porch and used that as a fort for a while.

Among this we also did stuff out on the rocks in front of my house like gathering long fallen branches and making them rooves above separations in the rock. We also made some normal wooden forts but those were boring and we didn't do much besides use some spare shingles (Just layered down on top) and plastic to make rooves for those.

So did anyone else do stuff like this as a kid?

Games / Quake Live + Arena Game General
« on: July 28, 2012, 06:09:23 PM »

Quake Live
I have been noticing how Quake Live appear to be dying and I would rather that not happen, cause like, Quakes good and stuff.

What the hell is Quake?
Quake (If you have been living under a rock) is an Arena game.

Here is a small list of Arena games and hopefully you will have played at least one of them so I don't have to explain what an arena game is:
*Unreal Tournament
*Quake
*OpenArena
*Nexuiz
*Xonitic
*Warsow
*Alien Arena

Quake Live is Quake 3 Arena just in your browser and cleaned up quite a bit, it is free to play besides a few features that are not completely needed. (Maps, Making a clan, Premium servers)
It will run on most computers (Except toasters (You know who you are))
QLPrism
What QLPrism does
At its core, QLPrism is a customized, minimalistic "browser" for id software's web-based first person shooter Quake Live. It essentially turns the Quake Live website into an application that is directly launched from the user's desktop rather than indirectly from a traditional web browser. This application combines the Quake Live website, a modified version of Mozilla Lab's Prism and several custom scripts written by members of the Quake Live community to enable users to quickly and effortlessly experience Quake Live with many additional useful features. QLPrism is currently available for Windows and Linux.

This topic is also for general discussion about all arena games.

It's a pretty loving awesome video.

Oh and I think the reason that the "Audio" was damaged was because he was screaming "forget forget forget forget" the entire time.

Games / Wayward - A survival rogue-like
« on: July 21, 2012, 09:57:59 PM »

The following is Copy-pasta from the RogueBasin Wikipedia.

Wayward is a browser-based, turn-based, graphical roguelike currently in alpha. It is currently supported and will work in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera. In the game, there is a large focus on realism and survival. Because of these elements, most weapons, and items will need to be crafted by natural objects found around the terrain. Unlike traditional roguelikes, in Wayward there are no levels; however, you can gain different skills which increase your effectiveness for each of the individual skills. You can also increase your strength (health), hunger (starvation), and dexterity (stamina), by performing skills that would realistically use one or more of those attributes, for example, parrying increases dexterity and mining increases strength.
Stylistically, Wayward hearkens to a 16-bit aesthetic in graphics and in sound. Game mechanics wise, the game is similar to the Ultima series, more specifically, Ultima Online with inspiration from other roguelikes and roguelikelikes.

More information/screenshots. (RogueBasin)

Off Topic / Rule Change: Flame War
« on: July 12, 2012, 05:28:34 PM »
Flamewar

Most of you, by the title, should know what this is about. This isn't about anyone in particualar. My intention with this thread is to get the community opinion on the rule that the community seems to want to push. Im not on either side of the scrotum.

As you saw in this topic, a bunch of people are starting to become upset with the amount of Flaming posts that are beginning to spread on the forums. A lot of people seemed to have wanted a rule change so that people can only discuss topics discussing topics about discussing the MLP in the topic discussing the MLP topic. And all other posts would be bannable (I don't imagine a perma).

Badspot himself has made a topic about this for one user, who consistently posted about how people shouldn't create threads about rules about MLP in topics about flame wars.

A few topics about flame wars and rules that consist of gore of shopping carts:

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=163106.0 *Warning: Spiders.

Yep. That last one. People are going as far as to post sickly morphed ponies that are meant to be for 14th Grade Transvestites. Like I said, I'm highly against it (exception of extreme cases, like the spider topic). I just wanted to end the on-going rooster garbling between Men and their cats.

[It's like madlibs up in this motherforgeter]

Edit: Also would you people stop loving enjoying things you big loving starfishs, do you have any idea how this effects me?
