I like drinking about smoking weed. Had some stuffty stuff happen while I was forgeted up though and I've found myself more uncomfortable while really high and it's causing me to lean towards drinking. I think that is a pretty bad thing, I'd definitely rather smoke weed more than drink. Didn't know if anyone else has dealt with something like that?

General drug discussion thread though.

Any goofy psychedelic experiences? I took too much acid and didn't want to cross a bridge because I thought it would lead me to the "other side" I then zoned out on a couch and thought about my ex being an angel and that we found each other after many lives and deaths, she cheated on me. >:0

As an AI language model, ChatGPT is an impressive technological achievement that has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with computers and with each other. I've been fascinated by ChatGPT's ability to understand and respond to natural language, and I think it has the potential to be a valuable tool for the Blockland community.

For example, imagine being able to ask ChatGPT for advice on building techniques, or for recommendations on fun minigames to play with friends. Or, imagine being able to have natural language conversations with other players in the game, thanks to ChatGPT's ability to interpret and generate text.

Of course, as with any technology, there are also potential risks and challenges to consider. We need to ensure that ChatGPT is used ethically and responsibly, and that it doesn't contribute to harmful or abusive behavior in the game or on the forums.

Overall, I'm excited to see how ChatGPT and other AI technologies will continue to evolve and shape the future of online communities like Blockland.

It seemed kinda cool I remember being posted here but EVERYTHING was done serverside making the game so laggy it was unplayable. It was an MMO of sorts and you started on an empty planet walking around. I don't remember much about because I couldn't loving play the thing it lagged so much. It almost seemed like it was trying to be no mans sky before no mans sky

Edit: Okay there are these two other games I'm also looking for. They were both made by the same person, both side scrolling shooters. One game was horror setting and VERY red like everything in the game was red and bloody. You had a space suit and it seemed like you were slowly descending into some kinda lab killing monsters.
The other game that was on the same engine and was a 2D sidescroller that was similar to GTA, you would go around killing random people and taking missions in a futuristic city. They both were games you had to download. I swear the website was three numbers then a name (123Somename.com)

Has anyone else ever seen this?

If you look around on the site there are other options that are pretty cool.

Anyone else got this set up yet? It's fun as forget and incredibly powerful.

A generated tiling brick texture
That texture displayed in UE5

You can also use it to upscale images and create research! There's also really very questionable things you can do like generate naked bodies onto clothed people amongst other things 4chan is actively progressing every single day. I don't know what just happened but it seems like everyone and their brother just heavily started using it. You can even tell who's posting what because they use the same prompts and it actually is a tell tale sign, this is kinda mind blowing. Someone could be using a prompt that makes their "art" look like someone elses art but you can still tell it's the same person posting the same images.

Anyways if you need any help setting it up feel free to ask questions here.

Chris-chan developments go here plz.

Kiwis dead, so the wiki is dead. I liked to keep tabs on him. I felt prison was bad but at the same time I really hope that led to real efforts to help him. I don't know if it's best for the internet to continue to keep tabs or not.
Is this the best time to cut it out?

is there a way the internet could help them retire?

Edit: Okay okay I was drunk bad idea gonna lock

I really don't want to become a angry old person who pretends like they understand stuff still. I've noticed it seems like every single person I know that is into tech was actually into it for a bit but never progressed and kept up with it. How do you stay hyped about new hardware/software? is there any particular blogs/youtube channels you follow?

Off Topic / Most fun machine you've worked with?
« on: September 10, 2022, 10:36:39 PM »
Includes heavy machinery.

I worked at a company that put the parts on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) and with zero knowledge they stuck me on the AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machine. This huge ass company that was building a whole new building and expanding stuck someone with zero manufacturing experience, no certifications and hired from a staffing company... on quality control. I basically looked at circuit boards and decided myself with zero external human input if the board was properly soldered or not. The machine would take photos from multiple angles of the board and would measure the solder and give out a warning if it thought it was busted, it would then spit it into a "reject" tray and slot up ready for another reject. I would grab a reject board, look at the computer for where the issue was then "inspect" the solder. If it seemed fine then I would alter the number on the computer to make the warning less sensitive.

I had never soldered and still have never soldered to any extent in my life. I've never even used flux before. I have have no idea if I did I good job or not lol They paid quality control $12 an hour.

Not the same one but similar, on the right side though it had a system hooked up for a tray. Great feature of this tray was once it was full it had no system to let the machine know, it would literally spit another PCB out and push the entire metal frame with all the PCBs off the shelf onto the ground.

This is where I actually worked, the machine the guy is working on (I actually knew this guy) would apply the solder onto the boards, the next two are SMT machines (Simple Mount Technology) they vaccuum the parts up and stick them on the board, then they go through the oven and ended up at AOI.

Looking back it was probably one of the most interesting jobs I've ever had and I've never clicked with people in any other job like I had with the men and the incredibly surprisingly huge number of women that worked there.

Machine discussion/general interesting work stuff?

Edit: To expand on this though the first half of the job was literal hell. Put 1200 stickers on PCBs and scan each one into the computer and watch a number on the screen slowly tick down confirming you've done your job.

Games / The most unique game as of now?
« on: September 09, 2022, 09:47:58 PM »
Imma go with Haven and Hearth.

Kinda an open ended question though.

Eco is another multiplayer game but is also very unique. I feel like multiplayer games for me end up more unique feeling than single player games.
