i'm personally posting about it because i care about the child enthusiasts and their victims. i have no affiliation with the other dudes, done my own research, haven't talked to them at all, that kind of thing. if i disliked brickadia and wanted to convince others that it's bad, i'd just make a post that could actually convince you that the development and developers are flawed - and i'm not doing that, i'm specifically posting about child enthusiasts in their community.read the thread moron. on the very first page I post about my affiliation with port and why I'm posting. Maybe if you'd spent more time reading the thread rather then attempting to get a one up on me you'd grasp what was going on.
i personally think it's worthless to respond to you in actuality, as you seem intent on 'trolling' us i guess? it's not even personal, to discredit any one of us, you just say things that can only be described as disrespectful from my personal perspective and would be a lie by default if you were to, for once, actually address me as an individual past my responses to you; so i was trying to figure out why you would do this, get into your thought process, but it turns out that you have no affiliation with any of the people we're calling out or brickadia in general... which is ???

I think what was previously mentioned about Minecraft to be true, had the educational potential had not been realised.It has nothing to do with badspot or the community IMO. I feel like Minecraft is a video game where as Blockland is more like a piece of creativity software similar to stuff like Photoshop.
Where Blockland and Minecraft differ was through their community; one had a dedicated team of moderators that would tackle the bad stuff, and the other just had three, one was pretty power hungry and a textbook national socialist-mod - eventually getting the sack, one was very polite but still doesn't really do enough, and one did all of the work but only comes around to sweep up the rubbish every so often but significantly less than he should. It would be better to sell a product with a good community than have another with a really bad community. Imagine the negative press Blockland would get if it went down the same path as Minecraft and got picked up for the potential it had.
I know of mods keeping a game from going under, but not bringing it back to life.I highly doubt Minecraft; the most purchased game in the world survived only due to modding. Especially as 2014 was past the absolute peak of popularity already. Pretty sure millions of copies had already been sold at that point.
Without mods, Minecraft would've probably gone under during 1.8.

If minecraft had died out, no mod would've revived the playerbase. You'd see a slight resurgence, but the peak of that time would be gone.
