could be generating a backup of the site, you need to be logged in to disable the filters
this has been discussed before outside the forum, Idle and Subpixel are ran by the same person.  while the intention of Idle is for it to beat everyone else's online time, Subpixel has some other intention that involves rotating around every board on the forum on a 10 second interval doing something else.  the most likely explanation as already mentioned is some form of archive process, it's not a "DOS".
But why would a banned user want to archive the forums? If I'm understanding Zapk is subpixel and did this https://gyazo.com/0de6b98e4c420ce7f5480016e8ccf297

Seems like the worlds worst dos attack still imo

Games / Killing Floor 3

To be honest I felt like KF1 (26h) was meh and KF2 (150h) was meh. Buuuut something makes me feel like this game could be incredible.

I really really hope they beef up the strong zeds and add a lot of skillful dodging possibilities. I hope they take notes from Dark Souls TBH. Heavier usage of chokepoints/building walls? I feel like KF always boils down to the same endless zombie kite it gets exhausting. I really hope they figure that out.

Comparing Blockland to two of the most successful gaming titles ever created is not a fair comparison in the slightest lol
Lack of updates is a non-issue, the game is a self sustaining sandbox with a dedicated modded community. Mobile support is also not the reason, a lot of the most popular games out right now aren't mobile games. Lack of media makes sense but this game never had amazing player retention anyway. We skyrocketed to over 200k+ players with the Steam release and almost none of these people continued to regularly play the game.

The game "died" because it had a small dedicated player base and naturally with time people moved on to other things, including Badspot. Almost no games last forever, and it's not like this game was ever on top anyway. ROBLOX beat Blockland's player counts within a year of release.
He's dead Jim.

Comparing Blockland to two games I remember getting very popular after being smaller than Blockland isn't fair comparison? After these games went crazy Blockland started to get smaller. At least for myself I feel like I swapped to playing modded Minecraft.

You even say that in the second section, people moved on. All we had was Gmod and Blockland. Maybe if Badspot turned BL into a survival-crafting game it would have gone big. Imagine chopping trees and mining rocks to get stronger bricks.

what we've learned is that if you press report on a post badspot will still come which is forgetin nuts, what is he doing
Tbh I'd read the reports on this forum for sure. I'm sure it's pretty funny. It's literally 5 minutes of pure personalized humor for him, pretty sick imo.

wasn't it the lack of content updates, not the community, that killed blockland? I guarantee if badspot released a major update right now blockland would get a huge surge of players like what we saw in 2012.
The game just got old there's more interesting things to play. Minecraft came out and it's way easier to build something in Minecraft than having to do math to make a wall in blockland. Minecraft buildings are literally "noob" buildings in blockland. Blockland is not an easy creative game and if you're not creative or good at it Minecraft/Terraria are way more fun well also scratching the creative itch.

I don't think new content would keep it alive.

that wasn't my experience personally. my guardians barely wanted me playing the game, much less posting on a forum about it. all this stuff was a secret
I feel like it was half secret half not for me. If my parents really cared they could for sure have just looked at my post history.

I feel like BLF is probably the least "secret" website since. It's probably far easier for kids to hide stuff now than it ever was before.

I really don't think badspot deserves much stuff over "protecting children", kinda impossible to be an all seeing eye. If there was something incredibly blatant I feel like that's alright to pinpoint but a general catch all is bullstuff.

If this was intentionally eye bait for the "user has been banned" that would be very funny. but seriously I wouldn't push it, someone was recently banned for posts like this

To me it seems like you just struggle to make connections with people in their preferred environment regardless of the internet
I can't tell if you're super young or full boomer. Something has absolutely changed.

Personally I think a lot of it is when you get older it just in general gets harder to make friends. The older you get the less of your age group is on the internet, they're busy and are more likely to have IRL interests, IRL friends and IRL responsibilities. On the non internet side the older people get the less likely they want to make new friends, they already have their groups. The older people get the more drama they've been through and they're more cautious and reserved when meeting new people.

But... something still feels really different. I blame social media a certain amount and I blame normies showing up. Everyones on the internet so why make internet friends? Your IRL friends are already on here and you can find them easily. Why the forget would you speak to random strangers? You don't need to make internet friends to play games with anymore, you can just play games with your IRL friends, everyone owns a gaming PC now.
