the literal definition is "an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation."

you can't call something memetical just because it's silly. a meme is like an idea building block, something that brings people together, a sort of common ground for an entire culture to use to relate to their peers. forced memes only harm this sense of community

And I'm being completely serious, too. Memes are a phenomenon that predate the internet. Olden jokes and wives tales are pretty much memes, and they've lived on in western culture just because like I said, they're an idea that creates common ground between strangers

So, kimon is to memes what feminational socialists are to actual feminism?
