General Discussion / Re: The One Brick Challenge
« on: August 06, 2014, 11:58:50 AM »
These all look very nice and all but I think pixel art should be excluded because the main purpose of those things is that they all use same sized bricks of a different color, so it's not really a limitation to only be allowed to use one type of brick, more like a requirement.

I've thought about this and I've decided to exclude pixel arts from the challenge (sorry for wasting your time if you've already submitted your application, it was entirely my fault for not thinking of this)

You can use zone bricks if your building your entire submission out of them because they still qualify as one type of brick.

The one brick challenge is a competition of skill, imagination and creativity. Competitor's who have entered the competition (See competition entry section) will be challenged to build anything out of your imagination with the only rule of using one type of brick.

-Rules & Guidelines

-Your entry may have more than one colour
-Minimum brick count of 15

No, this is incorrect. IMO, Torque is in fact an extremely easy language to learn - if you're willing to put forth the effort.
Just check out the Coding Resources, and see what you can get from there.

I'm just saying that in my opinion, in comparison to something like 'Ruby', Torque is slightly harder to kick off.
