I cleared some plains on a map, filled in some places that weren't flat, but then I started and immediately gave up on recreating that in Minecraft. It would be too hard to scale it without understanding your game's units. They aren't the same.

Seems to me like each tile would be a 2x2 cube in minecraft.
The main room is a 5x5 tile floorspace, 7x7 walls

Uh, I'm pretty sure you can get a decent one for about that price. I'd be willing to raise it like $90 or so..?

If a decent current-gen card costs £100+ for me then I'm sure it'll cost you a fair bit more than $90

No, Minecraft has raised a gross income of an estimated $15,383,827. That doesn't mean notch still has all of the money. And even then, it's a rough estimate using no previous knowledge of the price, how many people bought the game and how much it costs.

it could be drastically less.

I dunno, even 10% of $15million is a lot of money for what is technically an indie game

The content in Minecraft, as well as the content that is being added, is not worth $20-30

I think there's a method involving a giant gyroscope in space which spins infinitely, but it requires more energy than a few red giants can produce in their lifetimes
