See, I believe a small tool needs to be developed that sends a powerful electric shock into the animal. OH WAIT.

Now take that tazer, and ramp it up a little bit so it just stops their heart. Problem solved. Powered by AA batteries, hand held.

I'm fairy certain it takes an enormous voltage to actually stop a heart, it's either 50k or 150k, forget which

As mentioned before, some diseases can get through that processing, and they have before. There have been countless recalls of meat in the past few decades.

Speaking of recalls, there's an awful lot of recalls on vegetables too...our sanitation sucks in general.

I guess it's just less loving incompetent as a whole in the UK.
Fun, I only heard of meat in the UK being recalled during the foot & mouth epidemic

Nah, the actual packaging process of the meat has a lot of cleaning stages due to health and safety laws.
